This is a superior helmet. I've typically only used full-face helmets in the past and it's always taken a great deal of work to make them fit my oval-shaped head, especially fitting my forehead. This is the first helmet I've ever purchased that fit almost perfectly out of the box. I did end up depressing the right-forehead area just slightly to allow for my non-symetrical skull but that was easily and quickly accomplished with a spoon. Very quiet, although that could have a lot to do with the wind screening accomplished by my Can-Am Spyder RT. Great visibility and comfort. Best helmet I've ever had!

My wife and I do a lot of long-distance touring on our motorcycles. We bought our Sena SMH10 dual pack blue-tooth radios to be able to ride and remain in contact. The units are spectacular! Far better than CBs, FRS/GMRS, hand signals, smoke signals, and anything else we've tried over the years. So I wanted to be able to charge the units each night at hotels/motels on our trips. I can't recommend the Sena units highly enough and, just as important, the Revzilla folks are outstanding people to work with.
Yes, I recommend this product.

These are super units for bike-to-bike communications, which is why we bought them.
Range is as stated and even when you get out of range, it auto-connects again or you can easily reconnect with a touch of one button.
Instructions are lacking but if you follow mine here, you'll do fine:
(1) Turn units on by pressing and holding both the on-off button in the rear of the unit and the toggle wheel until the unit greets you.
(2) Press and hold the toggle wheel for both units for about five seconds until the unit tells you it's in intercom mode.
(3) Once both units are in intercom mode, one user only needs to just tap the toggle wheel and THEN WAIT UNTIL THE UNITS GO THROUGH TWO OR MORE BEEP SERIES (not mentioned in the instructions) and the lights on the units quit flashing. You'll also clearly hear a change in your earphones indicating connection. The key is to patiently wait for the unit to cycle through each step. Without knowing the steps and durations, you think there's something wrong.
To add another unit, have that user follow steps one and two, above, and then just one of the already-paired units performs step three to connect the three units.
You MUST upgrade the operating system to have four users on intercom simultaneously. Upgrading isn't simple but it's workable if you just carefully read the instructions and are patient. Adding the fourth user is performed exactly the same as adding the third user (above).
Sound quality is tinny but no worse than any others using such small speakers. Volume setting is a pain because the toggle wheel has no stops; it just spins freely. We marked our units with touch-up paint so we could easily align them at full volume (needed with wind noise).
The full duplex (ability to have multiple users talk simultaneously) is a delight and somehow the microphones do cut out most of the wind and road noise. Keep them close to your lips, though, as the slightest distance between the mic and your lips will significantly degrade volume and sound quality.
Headset installation is a snap.
The toggle wheel is extremely sensitive, however, so watch out for accidentally touching it and dropping your unit off the intercom network. A light tap will reconnect you and you can tell by the immediately lack of the slight background noise that you've disconnected yourself but try to avoid doing that. The wheel turns so easily that you can inadvertently move the volume dial as well.
Even with these shortcomings and concerns, the units are a wonderful tool for communications and, once you've figured out the things I've described above, they're exceptionally easy to operate.
We'd buy them again. They're better than CB radios and other types of bike-to-bike commo that we've tried.
We've already recommended them highly to riding buddies who've purchased their own units. My wife and I wouldn't be without them (we ride separate bikes and being able to communicate is an absolute necessity for good marital relations <grin>).
Yes, I recommend this product.

HJC RPHA helmet sizing

I have used several other HJC helmets including ATV, street motorcycle and Snowmobile, all in size XL, which works well for me. Should I expect the RPHA in XL to be sized the same shape and fit?
I can't state that for sure, not having fitted your previous helmets to my head, but my head is more of an oval shape than round and this helmet fit my head really well out of the box. Most helmets place so much stress on my forehead that I have to work really hard to make them fit without crushing my forehead. Thus, this helmet is clearly an oval shape. What amazes me is that most of the people I know have oval-shaped heads yet most of the helmets I've tried on are round.

what blue tooth intercom system is best for this helment

I want to get a system for my wife and I and be able to talk on cell phoe and other riders
Hey, JudgementDay45, just about any BlueTooth system will work but my wife and I are heavily into Sena and they work incredibly well. I use this HJC and my wife can't hear any wind noise unless I leave the boom outside the face shield as I did once <grin>. Sena, all the way!

On the IS-33 helmet, after you remove the face shield are there any small covers to cover the lift mechanism?

Nothing that I could find, Antony. Sorry.
