I finally had a chance to test this suit in a Florida gullywasher. One of those storms where some cars were abandoned on the side of the road with water 3/4 covering their tires. In the ten miles of heavy rain, my right thigh became wet. I suspect the velcro is not a sufficient barrier as the material behind the velcro was wet to the touch and since I bought this suit to stay dry, it has not met my expectations. I am now considering the Tourmaster Centurion as the likely candidate for my commuting needs.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I have not seen how this will fair in the rain, but this is exactly what I was looking for in terms of size while protecting the bike and still allowing airflow around the bike.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'd probably stay with a full face next time around as I don't find the trade offs of increase weight, noise and decrease in visibility to be worth the price of a flip up, but- with that in mind- this is a quality helmet and I intend to use it until another helmet is needed.
Yes, I recommend this product.
