this givi case is exactly what i was looking for. i wanted something not too bulky, secure, easy to take on and off, and waterproof. this case is all of these things. it is also much less expensive than other models for some reason, maybe they stopped making it? if they did, thats too bad, if this thing is still being made, i recommend it highly. it says the weight limit is six pounds, but i have already exceeded that, and will continue to. my backpack easily weighs 15-20 with my laptop in it. this makes the commute to campus much easier... again, my full size backpack, with four binders, books, and a laptop fit into the case with ease, and seems totally secure.

With an improved tread and compound, the Heidenau K60 Scout dual sport tires deliver better cornering stability and wet weather grip on the pavement, while delivering off-road as well. The chevron style tread pattern is similar to full knobby designs which provides lots of open space between the tread blocks to route sand, mud and water from the contact patch while constantly keeping some rubber in contact with the road as the tire rotates. This tire is a stand-out as it does not sacrifice on-road longevity and adhesion to the pavement for off-road traction. A difficult feat for any tire to accomplish. TL Tubeless TT Tube Type Tire Please Note Tire size 150/70 -17 has a solid, center band rather than the staggered tread pattern pictured (see below). what is the speed rating on the scout k60?
so i looked up this info on heidenau's website the tire im looking at for the super tenere (a 150/70 17inch) has a 69T rating... which means it is rated up to 118mph and a 716lb load...
anyone interested can look up the ratings for all of heidenautires.com ... its pretty straightforward...
there is also a pdf file you can download, not sure why this info isnt on the revzilla site... anyway, im going to try these out on my trip to yellowstone and see how they fare...
