Great pant for the money, can't go wrong. I'm 6'4 205 with a 36/34 jean size. Ordered a 2XL as an over pant and works pretty well. Leg openings are not large enough to get over a boot and the legs are snug enough to pull my under layer up. Overall, legs are on the snug side, but the waist is very loose, this gave it the average comfort instead of good. Protection almost got a 2 rating as the knee armor tends to shift to the inside of the knee leaving the outer side "exposed" There is a bit of Velcro inside the armor pocket to help keep it in place, however the armor is larger that the Velcro allows for and I can't get a good connection. Pairs very well with my Cortech GSX Sport coat, colors match and even the jacket - pant zipper mates! Great pant for getting protection onto your legs while saving up for the better pants.

Is all the armor removable?

The knee armor is removable but the hip/thigh armor is the injected foam and is not.
