I was leery of chopping the rear frame on my S2R but I have no regrets with this product. The parts were so on spec it fit like a piece of official Ducati kit. I was able to reuse my turn signals as well and the results look like it came that way from the factory all along. Be careful when cutting the steel frame and cover the rear wheel and swingarm/chain from metal filings. These may stick to the bike and rust over time creating unsightly stains. The kit includes tube caps to finish off the frame chop.

These Sena BT headsets are the amazing for riding with a group or even 2 up. It took about less than a half hour to install and pair them with an iphone. It did take a few minutes to upgrade the firmware and charge them but installation is a breeze. The batteries hold a charge for weeks when not in use. My first ride with them was 8 hours and I still had plenty of juice to spare. My only beef is that the auto shutoff never engages when riding because the wind noise is always enough to keep the channel open. This is a minor issue since the MASSIVE volume/talk jog wheel button is easy enough to tap by shrugging your left shoulder - practically hands free! The speakers are strong and clear but loud pipes will crush any music enjoyment on any headset. Phone calls are clear and I haven't had any issues with callers understanding me. Although, personal preference is to not talk on the phone while riding. Range is about 1/4 mile line-of-sight, slightly less around obstructions.

 Bell Custom 500 Helmet
Bell Custom 500 Helmet
Bell Custom 500 Helmet In tribute to their founder, Roy Richter, Bell has released a line of helmets based on Richter's 500 design. Hailed by Bell as ground zero for the modern motorsport helmet there is no doubt that this original design formed by Richter himself in 1954 has given rise to an industry. The design is a classic that has been updated with modern protective technology by Bell engineers. By combining a custom fiberglass layup with a specially designed EPS foam layer, Bell engineers were able to craft a helmet that is at once light weight, narrow in profile, and DOT-compliant. The Custom 500 series comes in a variety of styles inspired by custom graphics which suit riders from all points along the style spectrum from understated to flash. These helmets rock with looks that are as good as their performance. Features Custom fiberglass shell Custom-quilted liner Chrome trim (graphic dependent) Integrated snaps for aftermarket shields and visors Padded chin strap with D-ring closure and strap keeper Five-year warranty Certification DOT Weight 880g

The Bell Custom 500 is a fun little lid that gives a modicum safety over a pudding bowl but looks so much better doing so. Paired with Halcyon Mark 9 goggles, this is THE look for a DOT cafe rider (the goggles help tone down the 'Great Kazoo' effect). For a 3/4 helmet, it is surprisingly quiet and at speed the medium stayed put on my 22 inch head. I've heard of the 500 trying to take off on the highway but it stayed snug for me.

This is the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn but I haven't figured out the best way to wear it while on the bike. If I am going under 40 mph and sit upright I get a whistling through the air vents. If I tuck in and dip my chin it goes away until I get up to highway speeds when the reverse is true. With the vents open the air flow is great and the sound otherwise is reasonable. Maybe I just need to go faster.

These feel like a second skin and allow for finger dexterity well beyond the competition in this price range. As for the warmth, I've had them on at highway speeds when the ambient temp was 42F and they kept my digits toasty for the first hour. For anything longer, you may want to look for some heated grips or hand warmers to supplement the gloves.
