Taking out the liner allows for great air flow on a warmer day. I have a lighter color which also helps with keeping cool. I keep the liner in my saddle bag, in case it's chillier.

Can this be used as a fall/winter jacket?

Is it warm enough to wear during all of fall and winter and does it come with a zip-in liner? If so, would I still need to layer up?

zip-in liner cuts wind, but isn't very warm. Probably warm enough with layers underneath, though.
