Manlenium's Reviews

AGV Horizon Helmet - Solid Colors The design of the AGV Horizon largely reflects that of the Stealth SV, which it replaces in the line. Inspired by the lines that have characterized the innovations by AGV for several years now, it features a narrow, streamlined chin guard, the channels in the shell (derived from the IVS used in the RACE helmets), evident lines and edges on the sides. The spoiler adds an aggressive and dynamic touch to the design and improves the ventilation, aerodynamics and stability of the helmet. The removal of the holes and lateral grids not only gives the AGV Horizon a more compact look, but has made it possible to reduce turbulence and improve the aerodynamics. Features Shell Carbonglass (Fiberglass and carbon shell) Shell Sizes 2 EPS Liner Multi-density Ventilation System IVS (Integrated Ventilation System) with channels formed directly in the outer shell and dynamic system with air vents and rear extractors Interior Dry-Lex with sanitizing treatment Internal Padding Completely removable and washable Removable chin curtain and breath deflector included Faceshield GT2 clear visor in optical class 1 Faceshield Non-scratch and anti-fog polycarbonate with 100 protection from UV radiation Visor Mechanism XQRS (Extra Quick Release System) visor removal and replacement without tools in just a few seconds Internal Sunshield Drop down ISV (Internal Sun Visor) is non-scratch and anti-fog polycarbonate Retention System Double D Safety Certification DOT and ECE 22.05

Great overall helmet. The best fitting helmet I've owned is a Shark RSI...I have a square jaw. This helmet comes close as the chin is longer. Fits great. True to size for roundness. Airflow is above average. Went with the matte black as I don't like the colour schemes.
Major issue: Tends to whistle at higher speeds. Seems to be the lower mask or chin vent haven't isolated it yet.

The shoe is good overall. I have a wide foot (E) and struggled very hard to get into it. I had to use a shoe horn. Once in the boot the pain was tolerable, then subsided. The footbed is super narrow. I hope that the leather stretches a bit, to accomadate. The heel cup is also painful as it is tight and for a narrow foot. Mild breathability and true to length. For near 300 you would expect more.
If you have a moderate to super wide foot stay away from these.
Ride Safe.

Another shark addition to my growing collection. I have difficulty finding stuff that fits my long/wide head and square jaw. This helmet fits the bill. Very similiar in fit to the RSI, which I found to be the best true fitting helmet, although I barely get away with some others. I would say its between an intermediate oval to long oval fit. Most of the time my jaw hangs out like in the shoei x12. This helmet fits great. Interior is plush and provides excellent wicking and comfort.
Drop down sun visor has superior optics and great field of view. As many video review state the visor it the perfect length and width. Shark visors are by far the most optically correct with zero glare. Airflow is above average, noise is average. Vents/visor are easy to operate with gloves.
Only complaint is Shark needs a rachet system for their visors. This works on friction like the Race R Pro. Overall awesome mid range price and helmet. The visor; is by far the best feature on this bucket.
Happy riding.

Visor looks great and offers same protection as stock. Quick change system similar to Shoei helmets. You pull the trigger to pop it out/put it in with visor in up position. Vision window is wide and offers great view for shouldr checks. Works well with the pinlock.
Major complaint with the mirrored silver ,is the mild glare on sunny days. You get a view of your face off your visor. This is only when driving into the sun. It is partially distracting but not a major issue.

Fit is true to size. Finger length is normal.
Major complaint is... the opening to get into the gloves is super tight, takes some wiggling to get them on. Once in the gloves, they are super comfy warm and water resistant.
Super quality as you would expect from dainese products.

Tried on a buddies and hade to have this helmet. Interior is plush and feels great. Fit is true to size and fits average/round head. This helmet fits more "sporty" tighter with less neck space then the average helmet.
Helmet fits like a Shoei X12 but with more chin room.
Airflow above average. Simple ports easy to use with gloves on. The chin located helmet closure takes some getting used too.
Super fast shipping from Revzilla.

Glove fits true to size and has good accomadation in the palm. I have overly wide hands and these fit great. Finger length is true to size. These gloves are very comfortable with great padding, and ventaltion. Very well made as you would expect from dainese. The suede palm is super comfortable with amazing grip on the controls. Medium price point but worth the coin.
Bought them out of the US and the shipping from Revzilla was still super fast to Canada.
