Dainese New Drake Air Textile Pants Drake pants will surely interest anyone who loves to ride his or her bike especially in the warmer months without wearing a suit or leather pants in order to obtain the protection required. These previously contrasting needs have now been perfectly reconciled by Drake fabric pants. Ample air vents in fretted fabric with closing on the thighs permit fresh air to enter during riding for cooling relief on even the hottest days. When temperatures begin to drop, the air vents can be closed. Safety is guaranteed by removable composite protections in the knee and shins, while extra-strength Cordura 750 fabric offers protection in case of fall. The elastic inserts in the knee optimise the wearability of the article, which is equally suited to metropolitan motorcycle use. Features Removable composite protectors. Cordura fabric 750. I'm 5'10" and 160, and ordered the Dainese New Drake Air Textile pants in size 48. They fit well, and as others have written in their reviews, they are cut with slim fit legs which I like. My Dainese touring boots can be worn in or out of these pants. The zippered lower legs make zipping over the boots pretty easy.
I haven't had them long enough to try cleaning them yet, but the label notes these need to be hand washed and not tumble dried.
These are definitely cooler than my leather jeans. Highly recommended armored pants that actually look good.

The Fulcrum Gore-Tex boots are very comfortable for all day wear. I do find zipping up the zippers is a bit challenging when putting on the boots, but once they're on they're super comfortable. No break in necessary.

My new Teknic Freeway jacket has passed the cold morning dawn commute test here in Connecticut. At highway speeds, I was comfortable and warm with the inner lining zipped in. This jacket is build solidly and features lots of useful pockets.
Unlike some other reviewers, I did not find the sleeves to be too long. Velco cuffs allow adjustment of cuffs for comfortable riding. You can't be missed if you go with the Yellow and Black version!

Leg opening size
Is the leg opening big enough to go over let's say a race style boot with the shin protectors on in?
I have the Dainese Fulcrum Gore-tex boots, and I am able to wear my New Drake pants zipped over the boots, or inside the boots. With my boots it's a tight fit with the pants over the boot tops, so I concur with the others who suggest armored boots would likely need to be worn outside the pants leg bottoms.
