Olympia Phantom One Piece Suit When compared to the competition, Phantom offers unmatched levels of quality, venting and waterproof protection. Well made, with first class materials. I needed this to commute through the winter and am confident I will be comfortable and well protected. The cut is generous, I am 5'10" 175lbs with a 30" inseam and I have plenty of room for extra layers (I ordered size Large). The liner kept me comfortable in 40F deg at highway speeds with normal street clothes underneath. For extended rides I might need thermals, colder temps (down under freezing) I'll use heated gear underneath.
I rode in a steady rain for an hour and a half and had some seepage at the elbows where the velcro straps are bartacked. I called Olympia and they put me on with the OWNER! Kevin recommended I use a waterproofing gear spray as directed on the FAQ section of the website. I'm satisfied with that solution although I haven't had an opportunity to test the results.

AltRider Suzuki DL650 V-Strom Frame Slider Kit Protect your bike in slides and spills with the AltRider Frame Sliders for the Suzuki V-Strom DL650. Basically the best you can buy. You get what you pay for and although I thought initially it was a lot I was not disappointed. Very good quality and fit. Works ONLY with the AltRider crashbars.
My only complaint was not with the product - it was not properly packed because when it arrived the end of the slider mounting rod was actually poking out of the box! Revzilla if you read this talk to your people - wrap bubble wrap on the ends of the slider so it doesn't poke a hole in the box during shipping!!

I wear a Gerbing Heated Jacket. Does this suit have any kind of opening or port to run the cable through?
No it doesn't. I spoke to Kevin at Olympia about this and in order to maintain the integrity of the waterproof quality they decided not to do that. I am considering putting either a hole inside a pocket or running the power cord for my heated gear through the bottom of the two-way zipper. Either way a hole is a hole and water will find a way in eventually.

No lower body armor?
It seems to have no hip or knee armor, or even pockets for armor. A fatal flaw, if I'm correct about that.
Sorry, that's incorrect. It has CE armor in knees and hip padding just like all their other excellent gear. All armor is adjustable as far as position, for shorter or taller riders.

Liner functionality - does the liner zip into the suit, or do you put on the liner, then the suit separately.
It does zip in, in front.Their are elastic & velcro loops at the ends of sleeves, legs and neck to hold the liner in if you want. I may use them but haven't yet. I just keep them separate and put on the liner when needed. The liner and shell have separate (independent) front zippers and full length leg zips. I actually wore the liner alone with an insulated vest for a day outside in the 40's walking around and was comfortable.
