This is an excellent shoe. When I first got them they were a little stiff which had me worried, but after wearing them for a day it was like walking around in my Chucks' again. Keep in mind that these are a waterproof shoe and as such will probably not move a lot of air. Protection is where it needs to be, but there are no frills.
Once I wear these out, I will definitely be buying another pair to replace them.

Bought these pants earlier this year for the cold riding in the Pacific Northwest. I wanted something that would provide waterproof protection as well as break the icy wind while going down the freeway at 75MPH. These pants performed well beyond my expectations. They are easy to get on and off and are comfortable for around the city or long commutes down the freeway. Bottom line, if you want something that will provide protection from the elements and the tarmac and won't put a large dent in your wallet, try these out.

Spidi NL5 Mesh Pant Summer mesh and Cordura trousers, ideal match for the NL5 mesh jacket, but great to use even with other summer jackets. NL5 trousers represent a great leap forward in hot season equipment, even thanks to their ability to perform great on almost every kind of bike. NL5 are also equipped with CE Multitech protectors and hi resistance Clarino microfibre on highly crashing sensible areas. They can be combined with optional H2OUT Pant Liner to become a fully waterproof garment.
Can these be used as overpants?
I love Spidi's stuff and am considering buying these, but am not sure if they'd be good overpants for my commute. The pants seems like they're designed to be used when going commando (i.e. no jeans or shorts underneath), but wanted to confirm.
All I do is use these as overpants. I use them for 2 mile commutes and 200 mile rides and everything inbetween. Very comfortable and easy to use.
