Just as most other Dainese jackets, you must purchase the back protector separately (reason for rating protection low). Without the liner, the jacket's interior is irritating, so use a base layer or long sleeve T-shirt for longer rides. This one was made in Belarus or other emerging Eastern block country, not made in Vietnam or China like lower price point Dainese leather.
The leather and shoulder/elbow protection does seem to be promising as protective gear. The neck adjustment only has two snaps, and is just workable for my neck. Sleeve diameter seems a tad too large, and the sleeve length is a shorter cut, like a sport bike jacket. It looks great and should protect well. Sizing is probably right on. I expected more for the price, however.
ZLA was great with a return from Tobacco to Brown color. The Tobacco color looked different in person. Brown rocks.

I hope I never know how good or bad it is, but it seems to be well built and fits the Dainese jacket just fine. It's not heavy like the high density foam protectors, and it doesn't seem to be a sloppy fit (it is made for the Dainese jackets, afterall). Not much choice if you have a Dainese jacket!

The charger works well, but is unneccessary. A timed charger would be just fine.

Rev'It! seems to be of higher quality than say, an A-star, but just short of perhaps a Dainese. But provides more value than either. This is the best venting leather I've had, but the fit is odd. Rev'It! size chart suggests a 54 for my 43-44 chest size. Chest was sized well enough, but the waist is too large, and the neck is too tight. My neck is slightly larer than average. I'm 5'-9" @ ~190lbs, wear 16"x33" dress shirt, and have a 35" waist. So, fit is my only complaint. The materials and armor are good, the craftsmanship is not easily surpassed by other brands. This Union jacket was thankfully NOT made in China, but in Vietnam.
