Used the o'rings and ran the wire down inside the fairing so I could leave it unattended. Less the 24 hours later, solid green indicator!

Icon Variant Construct Helmet Stripped of graphics and devoid of undue flair - the Construct wanders the earth in opaque minimalism. It is purity of form amongst the flamenco masses. It is truth of materials amid the technicolor hordes. In a world where no two helmets are created equal, the Variant Construct and its raw shell stand alone. The Icon Variant Helmet is a revolution in ADV and urban riding. Designed give riders the advantages of both a street and dirt helmet, the Variant makes use of a wide field of view, aerodynamically tuned peak visor, super strong Fiberglass/ Dyneema/Carbon matrix shell and a dual density EPS core. Extensive venting and the HydraDry sweat wicking liner helps prevent serious moisture buildup and keeps you cool when the heat is on. To keep the Variant stable at speed, the engineers at Icon developed the anti-lift visor to direct airflow, both into the intake vents and over the shell of the helmet to reduce buffeting and wind noise. An optically correct face shield and extended viewport keeps your vision clear and your eyes on the prize. Features Fiberglass / Dyneema / Carbon Fiber Shell Industry leading multi-inlet ventilation system Wind tunnel tested and refined anti-lift visor Integrated chin EPS air channels reduce shield fogging Optically correct anti-fog shield Removable and washable HydraDry moisture wicking liner Removable chin curtain All world standard, meets or exceeds the following DOT FMVSS 218 (US), ECE 22-05 (EUROPE), SAI AS1698 (Australia) and SG (Japan) safety and testing standards. Does not ship with SAI or SG certification stickers unless purchased from an authorized dealer in that country NOTE Helmet ships with both Clear and Dark Smoke faceshields.

Day 1:
Coming from a Bell Star, I found the fit to be narrow around the the lower cheeks, this makes it so the padding contours to your face beautifully (which felt a little too snug at 1st but I'm sure will feel great once the cheek pads are broken in a bit.)
One thing I missed immediately was being able to put on and remove the helmet without undoing the chin strap. I thought my eyes where going to pop out when I tried. Maybe when the chin strap gets worn I'll try again...
Functionally, I feel like I just installed a higher windscreen on my bike. The Bell felt like a tennis racquet and the Icon feels like a Samurai sword cutting through the air. I got the RST Silver and Rubatone Black. I think the helmet turns more heads than my bike...
Do it...
Yes, I recommend this product.
