Shark Speed-R Ike Helmet SHARK is proud to present a new philosophy. Utilizing all SHARKs expertise in safety, innovation and function the SPEED -R is a helmet specifically designed to meet the passionate demands of un-faired motorcycle riders. Double blade air spoiler positioned at the rear of the Speed-R, it allows the air to flow above and below the blade, hence the dual venturi effect to extract warm air from the helmet. Spoiler/stabilizer at its rear base trim the Speed-R has a spoiler, which stabilizes the helmet ans the cancels the buffering effect. The immediate benefit is no air turbulence running inside the helmet and greater stability at a steady speed. I had been looking for a new helmet for a long time, and finally came across the Shark Speed-R. I ride a BMW R1150R Rockster (naked), and really liked that this helmet was geared towards un-faired riders. The Shark does feel very stable at speed, but I do feel a little movement during head checks. I assume this is due to the longer, more aggressive style, and is not particularly bothersome. The wind noise is lower than usual with visor down. The visor itself is optically correct, and has been amazing to look through... very clear vision; do not think I can go back to a "regular" visor. The drop down sun-shade is great and one of the major selling points of this helmet for me. Great coverage and plenty dark (even in the Arizona summer).
The one negative: not as light as described. I got the medium and it is around 1600g. That being said, it is a great helmet and I would definitely recommend it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I was looking for a summer riding shoe/boot that flowed more air than my full-length Sidi's. I was also looking at the Sidi Blade and Dainese Dyno riding shoes, but all features appeared to be similar and the A*'s were $30-40 less. For the price point, this A* product just cant be beat.
As posted in other reviews and size chart, A*'s run big, about a whole size for me. I usually wear around a 10.5 (45 eur) and ordered the 9.5 (44 eur): almost perfect fit - still just a tad too loose, especially around the heel, but I feel if I would have gone any smaller it would be too tight.
I have only gone on a few rides with them so far, but the air flow is fantastic. Very good ankle range of motion, easy to move in them. As with almost all riding "shoes", you do give up some protection. The heel and toe box feel very rigid and would hold up in slide/crush type of accident. The lateral support is not so rigid as I would like.
Overall, great purchase for a commuting and spirited riding shoe. Good bang for the buck.
Yes, I recommend this product.
