You'd be better off buying two separate gloves.. One that is for dry weather, and one that is for rain. Today we had a good rain and the gloves were just okay. My hands were not soaked (like with leather gloves, but they were not dry. Certainly NOT waterproof. Maybe water resistant. The little whipper on the index finger is useless.
The protection is good, the size runs small. I wear a large in Joe Rockets, but these I had to send the large (sz 9) back, and get the XL (sz10).
