I bought this protector for my Dainese Air-Frame jacket following the advice of the customer service rep at Revzilla. they recommended this one over the Dainese back protectors because this one is reusable in the event of a crash. The Dainese ones are rigid, crumple, and have to be replaced. As far as comfort, I forget that it's there. After time, it just molds to your body. So if you're looking for a comfortable, cost effective alternative, give Forcefield a look.

I was looking for a pair of casual riding shoes that were as comfortable off the bike as they were on. These shoes perfectly fit the bill! They offer a glove-like fit right out of the box thanks to the Second Skin Concept. They are also very stylish. I get a lot of compliments every time I wear them paired with my Air-Frame textile jacket. The waterproof feature and the reflective panels are added pluses. So if you're looking for a comfortable and very stylish riding shoe, I suggest giving these shoes a look.

Carleesimo's Answers

Dainese Air-Frame Textile Jacket Focus Continued comfort under changing weather conditions with excellent ventilation is hard to achieve in a ventilated jacket because whenever the temperature drops, the wearer immediately feels cold. In this case, the Air-Frame jacket offers the best solution by combining the ventilation achieved by ample inserts in mesh with protection against cold air offered by a remarkably lightweight windcheating insert. Provided with ample adjustment possibilities, jacket-pants fastening zip, homologated protectors and a pocket for a G-type back protector, this versatile jacket also comes in a ladies version. Features Removable composite protectors certified to EN 1621.1/97 Standard Boomerang fabric Quick Dry fabric Mesh fabric. Neck adjustment Waist adjustment Wrist adjustment Sleeve volume adjustment Jacket-trousers fastening system Removable wind-breaker liner Sanitized lining Pocket for backspace G1 and G2 Reflective inserts 2 outside pockets Internal pocket

Temperature Range

What is the lower-end temperature you would recommend for this jacket with the liner? Mid-spring to mid-fall means nothing to me, as it is 90F here in mid November. 60F? 70F?
That's really a personal preference. I put the liner in when the temperature drops into the lower 60's.

Back Protection besdies Wave G?

I know that this jacket is designed to fit with the Wave G back protector, but does anyone know how well it fits the Air G Level 2 or the Forcefield Insert Pro for Dainese? Those two offer CE Level 2 protection as opposed to Level 1 in the Wave G, but their shapes appear quite different, so I am wondering how well they would fit in the Air Frame's back pocket. I wouldn't want them to be too loose and moving around while riding, or too tight such that it is difficult to insert.
The Air-Frame jacket has two pockets for the two different shaped back protectors. I however have the Forcefield back protector. It isn't shaped like the Dainese back protectors, but it still fits in the jacket.I put the protector in the wave pocket. As long as you have the correct size of jacket, you shouldn't have any issues with the back protector sliding around.

Is the wind liner a full sleeve liner?

Want to make sure the wind liner covers the arms and sleeves as well. If it is a full liner how does it attach to the end of the sleeves?
The windproof liner is sleeved. The liner has fabric tabs with snaps on the end that you thread through loops in the jacket sleeves.

Why is everything black?

For a jacket that is meant to be worn in the summer/hot months why does Dainese make this jacket 80-100% black? I think this jacket would flow a ton of air and probably be one of the best jackets on the market for summer riding, but it being in mostly black defeats the purpose. Once you come to a stop you start to roast. We need more jackets with lighter colors, how about reversing the black and grey colors, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
I have had a light-colored textile jacket and I will tell you will roast in any jacket in the summer when you come to a stop. No matter the color.

Abrasion resistance?

What does the Dainese Air Frame offer in the way of abrasion resistance ?
In the impact-prone areas of the jacket, the shoulders and the outside of the arms, Dainese uses an abrasion resistant textile.

Women sizing

Hi, are these boots unisex? How is the sizing for women?
Thanks!
I recommend that you refer to the sizing chart. To find out what your male equivalent shoe size, subtract 1.5 to 2 to whatever size you wear (ex. women's size 10 = men's size 8 or 8.5)
