The SMH5 took a bit to install in my and my wife's full face Bell Vortex helmets but after doing one the second was a bit easier. Locating the velcro pad for the boom mic was a bit awkward and there isn't really an ideal location but Sena makes a full fave microphone kit that would likely resolve this issue.
Mating the devices is straightforward and didn't pose any significant challenges. We had a couple confusing moments when we were both trying to connect to to each other at the same time but that was resolved in short order.
The sound clarity is very good, given the circumstances. Music and voices are tinny with very little base but the sound is clear. My wife and I could hear each other clearly @ 75 MPH on the interstate on my G650GS with the stock (tiny) windshield.
We were very satisfied by the battery life. They started intermittently disconnecting around the 8 hour mark but didn't quit completely until after 9.
These aren't cheap, by my standards, but the wife and I agree that they're absolutely worth it. Being able to communicate really improves the trip.
