street usage

I want these tires mainly because of the great handling and grip. i know they are 95% slick and if it should rain out i'm basically screwed. I've herd reviews say there targeted more towards track and not really recommended for street use. I don't plan on riding during the rain so is that the only reason why they don't recommend them for street use? Thanks.
