Shoei Neotec Modular Helmet Evolving on previous designs, Shoei has revamped its modular helmet style with a streamlined and attractively sculpted shape that conveys the feel of freely moving through the outdoors in the Shoei Neotec Modular Helmet. Overall shell size is kept compact by incorporating the internal sun visors open/close mechanism inside all ventilation mechanisms are shaped and positioned in such a way as to reduce any possible drag. A redesigned aerodynamic spoiler also helps to cut lift, reducing neck strain on long, cross country rides. In the Shoei Neotec all these features combine to create a premium helmet that excels in appearance, protection, comfort and performance. The Shoei Neotec Helmets chin bar is connected to the same axis point and mechanism as its shield, minimizing extra parts. This also enables simultaneous closing of the shield with the chin bar, which is then held in place with an easy-open lock release button. The shield lock system offers secure closure or the ability to keep the shield slightly open to allow for increased airflow. With the Shoei Neotec Helmet, Shoei now includes a built-in sun shield, the QSV-1. The visor tucks neatly away beneath a non-intrusive shell built into the helmets liner, and can be lowered with the easy control of a sliding button. Shoei Neotec Helmet Features Face Shield Features Easily operable lever mechanism Anti-fog, anti-scratch, 99 UV blocking New Pinlock-ready CNS-1 faceshield Wider and taller than the CX-1V that it replaces Includes Pinlock insert 3D injection molding process ensures a distortion-free view Improved Ventilation and Aerodynamics Newly designed vortex generators pull air through helmet 276 more airflow than Multitec Added inlets and outlets Vents are flush against helmet to maintain aerodynamics 5-Ply Shock-Absorbing Fiber Shell 3 shell sizes AIM Multi-Composite construction Lightweight yet strong Shell-integrated spoiler reduces lift and drag during high-speed riding Dual EPS Liner Multi-density EPS for optimal protection Two vents funnel fresh air through the EPS liner Dual liner channels route and disperse air evenly throughout the helmet EPS liner in chin bar All new interior Fully removable 3D interior liner Top center pad is removable and washable Improved cheekpad design allows better fit with eyeglasses Included chin curtain can be inserted into the chin bar to reduce turbulence and noise All Neotec Helmets sold in the US have a double D-ring closure Be sure to check out our Shoei Neotec Review above, in which we detail and break down all of the features and functionality of the brand new Shoei Neotec Helmet. Note Due to manufacturer restrictions, Shoei products can only be shipped to addresses within the United States

I picked up a bike in SoCal and drove it home to Wyoming, took my time ( 4 days ) to get home and wore the helmet for 8 to 10 hours a day. Fit and comfort is the best I have ever had in a helmet. I wore a Schuberth for about an hour to try it out as well, seemed to fit a little narrower in the temples. Ventilation in the Shoei is superior to the Schuberth, but the Schuberth is a little quieter. I would highly recommend the Shoei Neotec.
thanks revzilla

Schuberth SRC System for C3 Pro The new Schuberth SRC for C3 Pro for the Schuberth C3 Pro Helmet is a communication system which is integrated into the acoustic collar. You can install it in your helmet in just a few minutes according to the plug play principle, and it is connected to the antenna integrated into the C3 Pro as a standard feature. Feature Summary Intercom between rider and pillion passenger Bike-to-bike intercom (up to 700m) Intercom conference mode for 3 bikers Mobile phone, MP3, GPS connection Integrated VHF radio with RDS Intercom Up to three motorcyclists can communicate simultaneously with the SRC-System Under ideal conditions the range is up to 700 meters Range of up to 700 metres depending on the terrain and visual contact Automatic re-establishment of a connection when it is cut off Automatic connection set-up by speaking Automatic connection shut-down after 30 seconds silence, two-channel system for communication Phone + GPS The connection between a mobile phone with Bluetooth capability and SRCS is extremely simple to set up. Incoming calls can be accepted with a voice command and using the keys of the SRC-System. This also applies for navigation devices with Bluetooth capability. After the SRC-System has been connected to the GPS device, the rider can receive the voice instructions conveniently over the two ear-phones. Simple control possible by means of voice commands (VOX). MP3 Most commonly available MP3 players can be connected to the SRC-System via the multifunctional USB interface. If the MP3 device supports Bluetooth A2DP technology, no cable is required. Easy to connect thanks to USB Simple control using the SRC-System's control keys VHF Radio The integrated VHF radio now enables you to listen to your favorite station and important traffic announcements while you are traveling. The antenna which is already integrated into the C3 Pro as a standard feature guarantees top-quality reception at all times. Thanks to the RDS function the strongest signal for the selected frequency is always picked up, even at high speeds. You can store up to six radio stations. RDS function for automatic station adjustment User-defined programming possible with SRCS software Traffic news can be received while traveling High-speed selection of the six strongest radio channels in the vicinity at the press of a button ACC (Automatic Gain Control) The SRC-System adjusts the volume automatically according to the background noise Sensitivity can be configured individually with the software supplied Note Always keep up to date. The latest version of the SRC-System is always available to you as a download. If you register your SRC-System, you will be informed by email as soon as a software update is available.

Is there anything functionally different from the non-C3 Pro SRC?

The only thing that is different besides the fit to the helmet is better range ( up to 700 meters ), more or better VOX control and it is made for the C3 pro helmet that has the antenna built into the helmet.

The internal works are made by Cardo and based on the Cardo G4. I sent an email to Schuberth and to Cardo to ask if the new SRC was based on the new Cardo G9, and the answer I got was no, it is still based on the G4 with a few improvements.
