My perspective: I ride a KTM 640 Duke II. I usually wear a size 12.5 running shoes, 13 in "skate shoes". I have Alpinestars SMX Plus in size 47 (US 12) that fit great as well. I bought these in a 12 and they were right on the money. I have a short commute daily and usually change out of riding boots as soon as I get to work for "business casual +"...until now. I've ridden about 250 miles in these boots and these are my impressions.
Looks: These boots have a really classic look to them, as you can tell from the pictures. The one aspect I don't believe the photos show is how "technical" they look in person. I think they look great over my white/black Dainese Delta Pro pants, even though the boots are primarily brown. The gummy sole is not really spongy like Clark's "crepe" sole on their "desert boots". The Gaerne sole stayed grime free over the weekend considering the damp roads.
Comfort: Comfort was instant once you figure out how tight you want the individual buckles. Boots are quiet (took a few miles for leather to settle) and secure on the foot. Both sole and leather felt a little stiff at first but not at all now. Wore them all day at work today and I feel that their "drytech membrane" is breathable. Not a winter boot per se, but kept me comfortable on 50 degree ride at 80 MPH. Haven't tested waterproofing yet.
Convenience: Easy on and easy off with the buckles and Velcro system. Much faster than my usual commuting boots which have laces and an MX style buckle. I had no shifter fitment problems.
Durability (Perceived): Out-sole is grippy and it looks like any good boot shop could resole them if necessary. Sole is very soft but is showing no signs of damage from my enduro style pegs. Lack of a shift pad is a little annoying because the leather gets temporarily marked up. The finish of the boot is that type of brown leather that will get marked up if you scratch it with your fingernail.
Protection (Perceived): I would say more than a street boot but less than a road race or full MX boot. There is no hinge system or ankle armor. With buckles fastened, boots provide decent ankle support due to middle buckle and thick leather. MUCH more than standard work boots.
Overall thoughts: Well worth the expense for a waterproof boot IMHO. A very comfortable, stylish and protective boot for almost any type of riding. Additionally, the boots look good under chinos and jeans and are very easy to walk in. These boots are not nearly as "chunky" as you might think. My SMX Plus boots are bulkier.
Highly recommended.

I love the style, fit and airflow of this jacket. Also like how it will accept the chest protectors. I would call the sizing relaxed but not big or baggy per say. Shoulders and arms fit well and keep armor where it needs to be, but jacket is not so tight that it wrinkles your clothes if you are commuting to work in a collared shirt. Jacket has lots of useful pockets and mates up well to their Oxygen Air overpants for my daily, 5 mile commute. Beware of the versions with white material. Mechanically, its holding but not so much aesthetically. The white mesh fabric along the main zipper is starting to get all fuzzy and frizzy. Also the white mesh near the neck is getting dingy. The white ballistic fabric is tougher to clean than white leather. Probably obvious to most but wasn't really apparent to me until I tried to clean it for the first time. Overall I am very pleased with the jacket and love that I can zip to my pants for maximum protection...without wrinkling my work clothes or boiling me in my own juices.

The helmet fits great. The inflatable cheep pads are actually not as gimmiky as they sound. They really make the helmet fit even better, and there is a slight noise reduction benefit as well. I have Big Gun exhaust on a KTM LC4 (pretty loud) and this helmet does a great job of keeping things relatively quiet...even at 85 MPH. I wear earplugs on every ride, so YMMV. Large ear pockets for speakers. Drop down visor is very useful. No clear option for inner visor though which is kind of a bummer for me since 90% of my riding is in the day and I like a dark outer shield. Visor is not as fog free as some would have you believe, but the partial open-locked position makes it so it doesn't matter. Visor controls are easily operated with gloves on. Graphic is not painted on but looks great anyway. Overall, I am very happy with this helmet. Highly recommended.

I bough the white/black version to go with my Avro jacket in white/red/blue. These were the only Dainese white/black pants I could find. The two items look great together.
Knee and shin armor are top notch. Fit is a little tight but its leather so it will stretch...eventually. My biggest issue with the fit right now is in the thighs and calves. I'm 6ft at 210lb with muscular legs (think shot-put or sprinter). The pants' thin thighs and calves keep making them shift downward...difficult to pull on/up. I didn't want to go with a larger size because the hips and waist fit well. I'm confident than they will conform to my shape and therefor still recommend them for outstanding protection and styling.

Very high quality. Were a too snug initially but are breaking in well. I feel like they will hold up better than some Italian brands I've tried. Not gimmicky or overly flashy. Large wristwatch should probably not be worn under these gloves. I have long but somewhat thin fingers and the XXL was too tight before break-in. Consider going up a size if you like a more relaxed fit.

Pack is of high quality and addresses the issue of losing some of your high visibility with backpack on. I was impressed with the laptop section of the bag. Your laptop or tablet will protected, for sure. Will not accommodate a huge, gamer-type laptop though. Pack is not waterproof and is ungainly with all your gear attached to it as Icon suggests. I'm 6'1" and the helmet bag portion drags if I carry by the top "drag handle". You need to where it on your back if you want to carry your riding gear, which is a non-starter if you are wearing a uniform (in my service). Maybe they should have put the helmet storage at the top of the back?? ID pockets hold on to the ID too well, using a silicone-like sleeve. Very difficult to slide it in or out. A major PITA if the gate guard wants to hold your ID in his/her hand during the morning rush. Lots of pockets but not a huge main compartment. Overall, I would rather buy this than a vest because of the added functionality of being able to carry stuff.

These boots exude quality. Leather is top notch but I'm not sure how long the sole will last. Not much tread there so I try not to walk much in them. Toe sliders pop off from just walking around and I actually lost of them on a short ride. Ordered replacements and they appear to be of a different design that doesn't pop off unless you want it to. Ankle support is very good...better than any ankle brace I have ever used. The boots squeak loudly once they get broken in, and I had to push one of the followers back into its slot in the lower part of the hinge. The hinge system is well articulated and the boots give lots of tactile feedback. Would buy again for the ankle protection and multiple sliders.

Hard plastic feels sturdy but is curiously underpadded. I fixed this by keeping the foam that came with my jacket and throwing it behind the chest pads. The foam also helped keep them in place in my T-GP-R jacket. The fit is top notch with that foam in there. So much so that I'm inclined to believe that Alpinestars intended for the user to add the foam from the jacket. Alpinestars chest protection setup is definitely more convenient than Dainese because of the split design. There is a sizable gap between chest pads when installed in the jacket and worn on the body. Perhaps 4 inches or so in an XL T-GP-R. I would buy again because of the added protection. Well, that and the convenience of not having to deal with a removable chest pad (Dainese style).
