Dainese Steel Core Carbon Gloves Continuous innovation and experience on racetracks around the world have lead to the development of this racing glove. Excellent ergonomics are matched with equivalent safety levels against abrasion and tearing thanks to the Kevlar jersey, construction with single panel of leather for the protector of the stitching on the little finger side of hand, and the reinforced palm. Protection against shock is provided thanks to the new steel inserts faced with extraordinarily stiff carbon, little finger construction reinforced with internal inserts and Distortion Control, inserts on the knuckles, the back of the hand, the palm, and head of the ulna. Composite inserts in stainless steel faced with carbon fiber on the knuckles and the back of the hand Inserts in thermoplastic resin on the knuckles and the back of the hand Polyethylene inserts at the base of the fingers Inserts in thermoplastic polyurethane on the outside of the little finger, the top of the ulna bone and the palm Distortion control on the little finger Kevlar-jersey (brand-name fiber) Cowhide leather Stone PU Spandex fabric Reinforced palm One single leather panel to the size of the hand Tightening strap Adjustable cuff strap Inserts in elasticated fabric Elasticated inserts Pre-curved fingers Perforated cuff Perforation on the inner side of finger Soft inserts

I spent about 1 hour in the Revzilla showroom trying on products from Rev'It, Alpinestar, and Dainese. I recently retired a 4 year old pair of Dainese racing gloves. They were THE most comfortable glove I have ever worn. They were made with Italian leather and with European sizing. The harsh climates I took them through finally took it's toll on them. I knew finding a replacement would be difficult. I wear a size 2XL. After trying on numerous gloves from different brands, I again went with Dainese. Out of the box my original gloves were more comfortable, but these are not bad at all. The protection offered is better. The leather now used by Dainese along with the American sizing does change the comfort level, but only if you are used to the older gloves made by this company. I don't know if these gloves will last as long as the others, we will see. After a 400 mile ride, they are getting broken in nicely and the feel is very good. I still feel the seams inside of the glove, but it is not an issue. The carbon plate on the back is felt, but I ignore it. The gloves are not hot and today was in the mid 80's. My hands did not sweat and were comfortable. These gloves have a great feel to them and to prove it I laced up a pair of combat boots and was able to get my ID card out of a tight space without removing the gloves. Compared to the other offerings, Dainese was clearly the best for me even though my old gloves will still be missed. The eternal question is are they worth the 250.00? To answer, I would say the Dainese Druid is probably the better value for most applications, but they didn't have the color I wanted, so I went with the steel carbon. I have no regrets. I have a sport touring bike, these are overkill in my opinion. If you race, then this is your glove at a reasonable price.

I purchased this jacket about 1 month ago. I am 6'6" with athletic build. I wear a XYL. I wear a 48XLT jacket normally. The Rev'IT fit was spot on. When I tried it on, I did so both with and without a wind/waterproof liner. The fit was great either way. The Airwave is very form fitting, but not too restrictive. I was also able to ride in the rain and stay dry with the liner in. So far in the Northeast, the weather has not gotten above 80 degrees. Based on the warm weather I have ridden in, I suspect this jacket will provide good comfort even as the temps approach triple digits (but I have not evaluated this yet under those conditions) . The fit and finish and materials used are first rate. I did replace the foam back protector with Forcefield armor. With proper undergarments this jacket can become a two and maybe three season jacket depending on your level of tolerance.

Nolan N104 Helmet - Solid Colors Nolan N104 Helmets represent an evolutionary step for Nolan as they replace the much touted N103 Helmet. When compared the older N103, the Nolan N104 Helmet offers a helmet which is much lighter (7oz), features a lower profile through the use of multiple shell sizes, better aerodynamics, as well as a much larger viewport for increased visibility. The (patented) chin guard rotation movement with elliptical trajectory makes it possible to keep the total size of the helmet's front section to a minimum, when the chin guard is open. The sail effect is consequently highly reduced and riding comfort is still guaranteed, even when the chin guard is lifted. The new ultrawide eyeport is the largest of any Nolan helmet, both vertically and laterally for maximum field of view. The AIRBOOSTER ventilation system is equipped with an air intake in the chin bar, another intake in the brow and two rear extractors at the rear. The inner comfort lining includes removable cheekpads, inner liner, neckroll and chin curtain and is easily removable and washable as well as antifungal and antibacterial. New, redesigned comfort liner also accommodates eyeglasses much more easily than before. All Nolan N104 helmets are also N-COM B4 ready ( N-COM B4 is designed expressly for the N104 and is sold separately). Shell Features Injected polycarbonate GE Lexan shell 7oz lighter than the Nolan N103 Two Shell engineering allows Nolan N104 to offer sizes from 2XS to 3XL (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Dimensionally correct sizing allows ample cubic volume in chin/nose area Faceshield Features Face shields are now sized to fit the two different shell sizes (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Ultra wide eye port opening is the largest on any Nolan helmet for superior visibility Shield is changed by a simple push button mechanism Pinlock shield included with each helmet VPS (Vision Protection System) is new slider bar to lower, push button release for instant retraction VPS lens is scratch and fog resistant Chin Bar Features Centromatic chin guard opening mechanism requires dual action, simultaneous action to prevent accidental opening Dual action opening mechanism is positioned in the centre of the chin guard and allows for easy, one-handed opening Ventilation N104 has new AIRBOOSTER ventilation system, ensures optimal ventilation where is is most required Air intake in the chin guard draws air in and onto the inside of the faceshield 3 position top vent (closed, crown vent, crown/brow vent) 2 venturi exhaust ports at rear of helmet New plastic vent tube channels in EPS disperse cool air throughout the helmet interior Inner Liner Features removable cheek pads, inner liner, neck roll and wind protector The inner padding of the new N104 is easily removable and washable and antibacterial The shape of the inner comfort padding facilitates eyeglass wearing Reflective insert at the centre of the roll neck further improves the rider's visibility at night Neck roll can be removed easily, for more comfort in the warmer months Other Features N-Com Communication System compatible (sold separately) Features new Microlock2 quick-release retention system Microlock2 consists of a plastic ergonomic opening lever, and of a second aluminium toothed and holding lever Microlock2 minimizes the possibility of unintentional opening while still making it ergonomic and easy to use Meets or exceeds D.O.T. standards

I have both. I like the N104 design somewhat better. Flows more air for sure. Chin bar has much more room than 103. More room for mike. I prefer the inner visor mechanism of the N103, the slider is easier to use over the spring loaded N104. N103 is better for gloved hands to raise/lower inner visor. The N104 is somewhat more quite than the 103, but it also has less padding. Visor removal is equally simple on both, but seals better on the 104. Field of vision is much greater on 104. Helmet weight is somewhat less on 104 but I doubt anyone will notice it. The N-com B4 is a great improvement and battery life is much improved along with sound quality. Controls are better for gloved hands as well.

Used it for about two weeks. Battery life about 8hrs so far (still under evaluation) Sound quality is very good. Backwards compatible with previous version of N-com. Took about 6 mins to install. Pairing process took less than 20 secs. The helmet and N-com B4 is 700.00 less than the Shuberth system.
