Nolan N104 EVO Helmet - Solid Colors The N104 EVO is an update of the N104 and combines technical solutions with an improved level of comfort. Its ventilation system, conceived with AirBooster Technology, now offers better internal climate control in every condition. The (patented) chin guard rotation movement with elliptical trajectory makes it possible to keep the total size of the helmet's front section to a minimum, when the chin guard is open. The sail effect is consequently highly reduced and riding comfort is still guaranteed, even when the chin guard is lifted. The N104 EVO is also fitted with an ultrawide faceshield, allowing the motorcyclist to enjoy a wider-than-average field of vision. It also comes with a Pinlock ready anti-fog faceshield. A VPS sunscreen, Microlock2 retention system and set up for the N-COM B4 communication system complete the standard outfit of this stunning helmet. Shell Features Injected polycarbonate Lexan shell Two Shell engineering allows Nolan N104 EVO to offer sizes from 2XS to 3XL (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Dimensionally-correct sizing allows ample cubic volume in chin/nose area Faceshield Features Face shields are sized to fit the two different shell sizes (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Ultra wide eye port opening is the largest on any Nolan helmet for superior visibility Shield is changed by a simple push button mechanism Pinlock shield included with each helmet VPS (Vision Protection System) slider bar to lower the sun shield, push button release for instant retraction VPS lens is scratch and fog resistant Chin Bar Features Centromatic chin guard opening mechanism requires dual action, simultaneous action to prevent accidental opening Dual action opening mechanism is positioned in the center of the chin guard and allows for easy, one-handed opening Ventilation AIRBOOSTER ventilation system, ensures optimal ventilation where is is most required Air intake in the chin guard draws air in and onto the inside of the faceshield 3 position top vent (closed, crown vent, crown/brow vent) 2 venturi exhaust ports at rear of helmet Plastic vent tube channels in EPS disperse cool air throughout the helmet interior Inner Liner Removable cheek pads, inner liner, neck roll and wind protector The inner padding of the N104 EVO is easily removable and washable and antibacterial The shape of the inner comfort padding facilitates eyeglass wearing Reflective insert at the center of the roll neck further improves the rider's visibility at night Neck roll can be removed easily, for more comfort in the warmer months Other Features N-Com Communication System-compatible (sold separately) Features Microlock2 quick-release retention system Microlock2 consists of a plastic ergonomic opening lever, and of a second aluminum toothed and holding lever Microlock2 minimizes the possibility of unintentional opening while still making it ergonomic and easy to use Meets or exceeds DOT standards

I was looking for a new helmet and decided to go modular. After trying helmets from three different manufacturers, I decided to purchase the Nolan.
Fit, Comfort and Safety
Every head shape is different, so all I can say is that the Nolan fits true to size. It's a bit oval which matches with my head shape. Comfort wise, it has nice padding which is a good thickness. I've now had it for a few weeks and have put about 300km on it with no pressure points or other areas of discomfort. This helmet is not ECE rated which was a concern to me. Being modular there are also additional points of failure if you do crash. These are trade offs that I accept given the features I wanted in a helmet.
Sound and noise
Being modular, there is wind noise at a higher level than you would find in a comparable full face helmet. Compared to my current full face helmet, it's not as quite but I find it within comfort range. Like any helmet (no matter how quite) I would recommend the use of ear plugs for longer rides. In regards to audio technology, there are speaker pockets that I plan to fill with low tech wired speakers. You can go bluetooth but I personally prefer to keep things simple.
Features
This is where this helmet shines. Pin lock? Check Visor detents with a city position? Check. Ability to lock the chin guard up? Check. Speaking of the chin guard, it stays very close to the helmet in the up position. This is my first modular and I find this functionality really useful as I wear glasses. This also accommodates in-ear headphones if you choose to go that route. Let's not forget the built in sun visor: I commute on my bike and now that the days are getting shorter I have to ride in the dark. It's nice to not have to pack a clear visor (or ride with the visor up at night)
Cool factor
This is a very cool looking lid. My one complaint would be the width of the helmet. Being modular and having an internal sun visor, it is a bit wider which can produce just a bit of the bobble head effect (making your head look giant) but let's remember why we're here: To find functional protective products that *also* look cool. This helmet fits that description.
Overall
I would buy this helmet again. I tried quite a few others over a period of months to find this one and I'm happy with my choice. I would recommend this product if you are looking for a modular helmet.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Before I get into the product specifics, let's talk about intended use. I currently live in an area that allows me to ride year round. Winters do go down to the high 20's (slightly below zero if you prefer the metric system) so warm clothing is still required.
Given my location I get a great amount of use out of my mesh jacket (Verona Air). For those colder days I had been pairing the mesh jacket with a second layer or even a third. The t-fuel solves this problem by properly blocking cold air, with a bonus: I can use my Alpinestars back and chest protection.
About this jacket. Very good bang for the buck. You get a full liner, what I think is a nice urban/retro city style and some protection. It's also waterproof, but I've not tested it.
The not so great stuff? The fit is challenging. I'm 5'9" 170 lbs and the medium would not have allowed any layers. Moving up to a large I can layer, but the elbow pads are very loose. Not the best solution for protection when layering.
The main zipper is quite light and I've had issues with it. You have to be extra careful to align the zipper or it will 'unzip' from the bottom up. A more heavy duty bi-directional zipper would have been appreciated.
Another issue is the collar: There is a flap with no hook on the inside of the jacket should you wish to keep it open up top. With the jacket unzipped, the collar will poke you in the face. I've fixed this with some double sided tape and Velcro. Now I can rock an open collar at will.
Bottom line: OK jacket but you get what you pay for. Good price with OK fit, low quality zipper and a collar that could have used a bit more design consideration
Overall, it does the job on a budget and looks very good. Great on a cold day and looks good. I do however think it could have been better designed.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bike in hot weather. The Verona air, bionic chest protectors and back protector is what I use on every ride. Very comfortable and great airflow, even at slower city speeds.
There is no excuse for not using protection.

Nobody likes to think about crashing. I think that's one reason many people don't use protective gear.
These shorts are my go to for my daily commute. They fit well (I'm 5' 9", 160LB and wear medium) and are very comfortable. Medium cut or baggy jeans fit over them.
I think these shorts are good value and also, a good part of any 'contingency' plan.
Yes, I recommend this product.

First the good:
1 - This jacket flows lots of air. On a very hot day with a t-shirt it's quite comfortable at speed and even when crawling through traffic. On a cooler morning, I pair it with a thin hoodie.
2 - The protection options are, in my opinion, the best. You have shoulder and elbow included and you can add both back and chest. This was the main reason I chose this jacket.
3 - Low key styling is great on and off the bike. I use this as my casual jacket on a day to day basis even when I don't ride. It's that subtle and comfortable.
Now, the could be better
1 - No reflective piping etc. This should be added in future, but is not an issue for me as I don't usually ride at night.
2 - The waist adjustments don't use 'd' rings, so are a bit harder to set. Other jackets from this vendor use 'd' rings. I hope they bring that feature to this jacket.
3 - Not many colour options. This is a matter of taste; you can't make everyone happy.
4 - It fits a bit small. I had to pay shipping back to Revzilla (returns are at your expense) to get the right size. I'm 5' 9", 160lb. I'm wearing a large which is a good fit with a t-shirt or a (very thin) thermal layer.
Many people in the area I live don't where a jacket because it's 'too hot'. This jacket eliminates that argument and gives you some good protection (safe riding is of course your best protection!).
Also, Revzill is far ahead of many local bricks and mortar stores when it comes to selection; this jacket is nowhere to be found in the city I ride in.
I highly recommend this jacket.
