The style and features of the boot are uncompromised for the price. But the quality of the leather and adhesives used on the boot is boor. I have had the boots for 3 weeks and the sole is separating from the boot, the leather already has a wear hole somehow, the inserts inside the boot fell apart so bad I eneded up just taking them out. They are comfortable after some break in and they look great. I could wear these with jeans for a day of classes no problem. And the protection is great. But the build quality is poor. I am going to buy some shoe goo and adhesives and new inserts and patch them all up hopefully that fixes everything. I would still recommend the boot to someone who doesn't mind fixing things. Cause its hard to beat for the price.

Hot weather boot?

What's the difference between this and the TCX Five-plus in terms of breathability and ventilation? Which of these two boots would you recommend if this was the key consideration?

I just wore the boot on a 500 mile round trip and the avg. temp was about 75-80 degrees. I never felt that my feet got hot, even in heavy traffic.
