Dainese New Drake Air Textile Pants Drake pants will surely interest anyone who loves to ride his or her bike especially in the warmer months without wearing a suit or leather pants in order to obtain the protection required. These previously contrasting needs have now been perfectly reconciled by Drake fabric pants. Ample air vents in fretted fabric with closing on the thighs permit fresh air to enter during riding for cooling relief on even the hottest days. When temperatures begin to drop, the air vents can be closed. Safety is guaranteed by removable composite protections in the knee and shins, while extra-strength Cordura 750 fabric offers protection in case of fall. The elastic inserts in the knee optimise the wearability of the article, which is equally suited to metropolitan motorcycle use. Features Removable composite protectors. Cordura fabric 750. Suretta fabric. Perforated fabric. Insert in elasticated fabric. Soft inserts. Calf zip. Jacket-trousers fastening system. Adjustable waist. Sanityzed lining.

What initially drew me to this pant over other similarly-featured pants was the shape. I wanted a motorcycle trouser that was't bulky, baggy in the legs, and could go under my boots if I wanted. Dainese New Drake Air seemed like it fit the bill, so I pulled the trigger. They fit how I like, and I'm glad to see all the safety features are up to par as well. The material is thick and initially quite stiff, took some time to get used to. The hard knee/shin inserts stay put and have a large surface area, but are easily removed. The ventilation tabs are a nice touch as well (haven't needed to use them yet). The calf zip is extremely useful, and the 360 zip is a nice feature (though it's a bit of a hassle for short jaunts).
However, a few points deducted because they are a bit pricey relative to comparable products. Also, they aren't that fun/comfortable to walk around in and I will probably be purchasing kevlar jeans for day-use in addition to the New Drake Air.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Air-2 vs Air-Flux vs Air-Frame

I'm interested in purchasing one of the above jackets but I'm having trouble distinguishing features between the three. I understand the Air-Frame is slightly more multi-use with the windbreak liner, but what about Air-2 and Air-Flux? Value, protection levels, and airflow. How do they compare?

I usually wear my leather (Imatra Pro) but it gets unbearable in the 90's. I'm wondering which of the above three represents the best combination of airflow, value, and protection? Keeping in mind I do have an unvented leather for when it's not sweltering out, so I do not necessarily want a "do-it-all" jacket.
