This was my first helmet and I have to say for the price, the helmet is extremely comfortable. I love how easy it is to change the shield out, which I change from clear to the dark smoke and back quite often. It seems quieter than my friend's Arai helmet, though there is some whistling when you turn away from the relative wind, i.e. lane change. Looks awesome, I got the matte black with a dark smoke shield. Straps are comfortable and the cheek pads don't make you look like a chipmunk. I would recommend getting the "aero skirt" for colder weather, also helps with the noise. Air flow is excellent, and the skirt is easy to pull out if you need more air. I ride in Seattle and haven't been cold nor hot with this helmet. Couldn't recommend a better helmet, especially for $139.

What type of head shape helmet is the exo 700? round oval?
I'd say its more oval. My head feels good in this helmet as well as the arai profile

Does the dark smoke color shield match regular black finish for the helmet?
I am looking to purchase a an EXO 700 along with a lot of other gear for my first set of gear ever. I am wondering if this shield will be off similar color to the black helmet.
I have the matte black and the dark smoke matches it pretty well
