As stated in other reviews, I am 5'10" and about 192lbs. Athletic build 44" chest with 34" waist. My slacks are always a 32" inseam.
Im not going to lie. I tried on tons of pants and suits before buying this pair. I found some felt vague all over and others were an absolute chore to put on. I wear these daily over slacks or jeans for my 1 hour commute (each way).
They feel great and I have not had any thermal issues when its either 36 degrees or 82 degrees! No problems at all thanks to the well placed mesh.
They zip up nicely to my JR Radar Dark jacket with no fuss. The knee protectors line up where they should and the zipper on the pants leg makes tucking into my boots so much easier.
Bottom line, these are a great pair of pants.
Yes, I recommend this product.

True story, I had called my mother using my standard headset that came with my phone from my car. She instantly said "You are not on your bike, I can tell. The bike sounds much better. Very clear."
Setup was over in less than 10 min.. From unboxing to on the helmet ready to go fully sync'd to the phone.. That includes time to read the directions. It really is that EASY!
My wife and I purchased these headsets so we could communicate while riding since we both ride seperate bikes. Its been amazing to be able to adjust the ride on the fly by actually talking. Another great feature is the audio sync. Music on my daily rides is great! Beats out the drone.
If you are on comm mode and a call comes in, you can answer and once the call is over, comm is automatically restored. Letting you talk to your riding buddies once again. I often use the voice command feature on my Windows phone to text while I ride so people get an idea of what is going on. Works perfectly. Lets my wife or coworkers know if I am delayed due to traffic. I recommend these headsets to everyone I know that rides!
Yes, I recommend this product.

This jacket doesnt cease to amaze me. I am 5'10" with 44" chest and a 34" waist so I taper from top to bottom. This jacket has a great fit. The mesh on the front keeps my body temperature just right. On cooler mornings here in Houston, I would zip up the liner and on the warmer afternoons, I would remove it for the ride home. Very easy to secure the 8" zipper to the pants as well. The worst part of this jacket is cleaning all the dead bugs out of the shoulder vents! haha
Yes, I recommend this product.

Dainese New Drake Air Textile Pants Drake pants will surely interest anyone who loves to ride his or her bike especially in the warmer months without wearing a suit or leather pants in order to obtain the protection required. These previously contrasting needs have now been perfectly reconciled by Drake fabric pants. Ample air vents in fretted fabric with closing on the thighs permit fresh air to enter during riding for cooling relief on even the hottest days. When temperatures begin to drop, the air vents can be closed. Safety is guaranteed by removable composite protections in the knee and shins, while extra-strength Cordura 750 fabric offers protection in case of fall. The elastic inserts in the knee optimise the wearability of the article, which is equally suited to metropolitan motorcycle use. Features Removable composite protectors. Cordura fabric 750. Suretta fabric. Perforated fabric. Insert in elasticated fabric. Soft inserts. Calf zip. Jacket-trousers fastening system. Adjustable waist. Sanityzed lining.

Are these overpants?

I'm looking for good riding pants I can wear "stand alone", not as overpants. These seem to be fitting the bill, but I just wanted to make sure: would they be comfortable if I were to use them as pants (during the summer that is)?

Thanks!
I wear them as just stand alone pants when I go on weekend rides with my wife. No problems. I normally only wear slacks under them but have not felt or had any issues either way.

are speakers clear/loud enough for wind noisy modular helmets?

this question is in relation to the one about the microphone/phone/earbuds compatibility.
I am not an audiophile by any means. The position of the speakers is crucial to it all though.
I wear a Joe Rocket 201 and its great but at speeds over 80mph it gets crazy loud due to wind. I find this is because the helmet shifts ever so slightly due to the forces. A simple pat on the helmet and its where it should be and the speakers are lined up better with my ears so the sound is restored.

Take the time to optimally place your speakers and you should be fine.

If the speakers concern you too much, you can always get the Sena earbud headset connection unit. It allows you to use your earbuds with the headset system so the speakers will always be where you put them!
