AltRider BMW F800GS Skid Plate Adventurous routes are fun for you, but can pose a threat to your engine. Protect it in style from rocks, dirt and kicked up debris by installing the AltRider Skid Plate for the BMW F800 GS. Made of 3/16 inch (4.75 mm) anodized aluminum, the skid plate offers coverage to the oil filter, heat exchanger and header pipe. It closely conforms to the underside of your bike for protection that doesnt sacrifice ground clearance. This design incorporates four flanges into its shape, creating a robust piece that deflects dangerous debris from your bike. It attaches with OEM fasteners that are completely protected, eliminating the possibility of snags. A 3/16 inch (4.75 mm) stainless steel bracket is also included for mounting, and it maintains the BMW rubber mount for ensured motor safety. The bracket extends the life of the rubber mounts by providing an extra cushion on bumpy rides, while also keeping the skid plate from twisting and shearing the mounts. This must be one of the best looking engine guards available. Simple installation. All that it needs is to protect further back over the exhaust area below the engine, and it will be unbeatable.

Great product overall, but it takes a bit of geting used to, to ensure that you are in the right mode and settings.
I use a Arai XD-3 helmet, and installation was a breeze.
One thing the manual does not state, is the best way to activate the VOX feature.
The absolute best way I found, was to use VOX while riding, and then say "heloooo!". This almost always activated the vox.
If you just use a short, loud word, it won't work effectively.

Will these work between 4 Separate riders?
This may seem like a stupid question but all the product images show 2 bikes with passengers. My wife and I ride regularly with another couple. All riders are solo and we’d like the ability to talk with one another. Will this work this way?
It most definitely works, just like the 2 rider and 2 passenger setup. We've tried it and it works.
Just always use a long dragged out word like "heloooo" to activate VOX. Short, loud words will not activate it.
