Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V2 Rear Tire Original Equipment on the Ducati Panigale, the new SP Version 2 Diablo Supercorsa features the same tread design used in the 2012 World Superstock 1000 championship. High modulus fiber carcass offers a lower deformation ratio and makes the entire structure stiffer to allow a better synergy between compounds and tire carcass. Single Element Tread Pattern permits a 24 larger slick shoulder area (vs. previous Diablo Supercorsa), increasing contact area and grip and wear regularity. New compounds offer great balance of mileage and grip in an ultra-high-performance product. Rear tire uses Pirelli's patented EPT (enhanced patch technology) matched with a tri-zone compound that helps optimize the contact patch for improved grip and handling. Features Single Groove Technology greatly improves wear Bi-Compound rear tire with slick shoulder for racing-like performance WSBK derived materials and structure for increased agility and intuitive handling Innovating and exclusive Pirelli-patented high-modulus carcass Lyocel fiber Tire profile features variable geometry from the center to the shoulders for an increase in contact patch and quicker entry into turns Tire carcass has variable density from center to the shoulders to provide maximum linearity and stability through turns and to maintain optimal trajectory TL (tubeless) (W)-rated for speeds of 168+ MPH 200/55-17 is OE for Ducati 1199 Panigale

Wet Traction

I haven't had too much time in the wet but, the wet traction seems to be at least on-par with the V1s. I rated the V2s a solid 3/5 only for the fact that this a DOT-legal track tire and not an all weather ADV touring tire. This same reasoning is exactly the same for a 5/5 for dry grip, it's not a race slick.
I bought the V2s based on the tread life of the V1. For all it is and isn't, the tread life is good.
The first impression of this tire wasn't love at first sight--the previous pair of tires were the previous version of the Supercorsa SP--it was however love on the second ride. The first ride from where my bikes are serviced is basically just a quick highway jaunt to scuff them up and get ready for a proper break-in...i.e. doesn't count.
The first proper ride, about 70 miles of backroads/state highways, was far more pleasurable than I was expecting. The V2s had excellent grip, feel, and acceleration/deceleration response; even better than my late tires (R.I.P.). The V2s also appeared to allow my Ducati to settle-in at a lower speed, firming the turn-in and instilling even greater confidence in a particularly fun double-apex...excellence. You guessed it; I trail brake. :)

I was looking for a short summer glove that would give me plenty of flow and still be fairly technical. My normal track gloves (Dainese Full Metal Pro) are simply fantastic but, for a quick canyon blast, the short run to work, or a run up the mountains in the heat of summer requires some extra flow...especially when there's any road work that puts me sitting on the tarmac for extended periods.
I did notice, right away, that the large size I ordered by mistake turned out to be the right size. I'm not sure if there was a sizing differential between the styles (track gloves are size medium) but, the large 4-stroke was just about right. The only reason I ranked the comfort a 4/5 is that they required quite a bit more break-in time than my Full Metal Pro gloves.

I picked up the Soyto shoes to have some footwear that would be quick to throw on when I'm just meeting friends for dinner or going to a movie, etc., etc., etc., and still offer some protection without having to wear my commuting or race boots The laces are quick to adjust and never come undone. Like all Dainese products the fit, finish and style are second to none.

Dainese New Drake Air Textile Pants Drake pants will surely interest anyone who loves to ride his or her bike especially in the warmer months without wearing a suit or leather pants in order to obtain the protection required. These previously contrasting needs have now been perfectly reconciled by Drake fabric pants. Ample air vents in fretted fabric with closing on the thighs permit fresh air to enter during riding for cooling relief on even the hottest days. When temperatures begin to drop, the air vents can be closed. Safety is guaranteed by removable composite protections in the knee and shins, while extra-strength Cordura 750 fabric offers protection in case of fall. The elastic inserts in the knee optimize the wearability of the article, which is equally suited to metropolitan motorcycle use. Features Removable composite protectors. Cordura fabric 750. Suretta fabric. Perforated fabric. Insert in elasticated fabric. Soft inserts. Calf zip. Jacket-trousers fastening system. Adjustable waist. Sanitized lining.

These textile pants are more functional than I expected. These are my first textile pants and I'm frankly quite surprised with the amount of airflow (when you have the vents open). Like other Dainese products, use your actual measurements and not your size of blue jeans. If you're looking to wear them over your work clothes or whatever, go ahead and order a size bigger than you think...then enjoy.

The bag delivers just what it claims. I can see where any helmet bigger than maybe XL would have a tight squeeze into the helmet compartment but, then again, that's not a concern here.

I'm completely satisfied with this boot. They're a great option for someone who needs a daily commuter boot but, doesn't want to sacrifice protection...or chance being mistaken at [local coffee joint] for the Harley guy.

I thoroughly enjoy these gloves. The only reason I couldn't put down a full five stars for the comfort has more to do with the proportions of my own hand...or more specifically, the proportion of the width of my palm to the length of my fingers. That being said, a few extra minutes of break-in has resolved a perfect fit right out of the box.
