I picked up the Soyto shoes to have some footwear that would be quick to throw on when I'm just meeting friends for dinner or going to a movie, etc., etc., etc., and still offer some protection without having to wear my commuting or race boots The laces are quick to adjust and never come undone. Like all Dainese products the fit, finish and style are second to none.

Dainese New Drake Air Textile Pants Drake pants will surely interest anyone who loves to ride his or her bike especially in the warmer months without wearing a suit or leather pants in order to obtain the protection required. These previously contrasting needs have now been perfectly reconciled by Drake fabric pants. Ample air vents in fretted fabric with closing on the thighs permit fresh air to enter during riding for cooling relief on even the hottest days. When temperatures begin to drop, the air vents can be closed. Safety is guaranteed by removable composite protections in the knee and shins, while extra-strength Cordura 750 fabric offers protection in case of fall. The elastic inserts in the knee optimise the wearability of the article, which is equally suited to metropolitan motorcycle use. Features Removable composite protectors. Cordura fabric 750. Suretta fabric. Perforated fabric. Insert in elasticated fabric. Soft inserts. Calf zip. Jacket-trousers fastening system. Adjustable waist. Sanityzed lining.

These textile pants are more functional than I expected. These are my first textile pants and I'm frankly quite surprised with the amount of airflow (when you have the vents open). Like other Dainese products, use your actual measurements and not your size of blue jeans. If you're looking to wear them over your work clothes or whatever, go ahead and order a size bigger than you think...then enjoy.

The bag delivers just what it claims. I can see where any helmet bigger than maybe XL would have a tight squeeze into the helmet compartment but, then again, that's not a concern here.

I'm completely satisfied with this boot. They're a great option for someone who needs a daily commuter boot but, doesn't want to sacrifice protection...or chance being mistaken at [local coffee joint] for the Harley guy.

I thoroughly enjoy these gloves. The only reason I couldn't put down a full five stars for the comfort has more to do with the proportions of my own hand...or more specifically, the proportion of the width of my palm to the length of my fingers. That being said, a few extra minutes of break-in has resolved a perfect fit right out of the box.

What hip/tailbone protection is recommended?

Being stand alones, I gather these pants are fairly form fitting... I'm just wondering what hip and tailbone padding would fit them? Are there pockets inside the pants to slip in padding or do I have to buy a pair of shorts? Would Knox shorts work or is it best to go with Dainese? If so, what model?
The pants have hip/tailbone protection built-in. That being said, if you wanted different/more padding after you've tried them on, get the Dainese shorts and change out the pads.
