I particularly like the heated pads in the neck . .amazing how much different the riding experience is when you're wrapped in warmth. Key thing is getting the fit right, as to properly enjoy this you'll want to be wearing a baselayer only and it's the "contact" of the liner with your baselayer where the biggest heat transfer takes place. I found that I increased my "warmth" by cinching mid belt on my touring jack a little tigher to pull the liner up against my base layer.
Can't imagine doing an all day ride in 30 or 40 degree weather without something like this.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is my first set of "real" pants dedicated to riding. In the past I've always worn "Draggin" jeans and if it was raining I'd throw on a pair of fishing "bibs" which had the usual drawbacks of material that would burn against a hot exhaust, wasn't designed to keep the rain out at 60mph, etc.
Overall I'm really tickled with these as they should extend my riding season by 2-3 months letting me ride down into the 20's alot more easily than what I was doing with just jeans.
As usual "First Gear" products are top notch and have been designed by people who ride motorycles.
Yes, I recommend this product.

What happend if this liner gets wet?

Does it stop functioning? Is there a risk of shock? Do I have to worry about a short circuit on my bike, or blowing fuses?
The liner will keep on working even if wet, won't blow a fuse or cause a short circuit. The liner itself is actually water resistent, but they want you to have a waterproof shell on over it. (which is the only way I'd use it)
