Just a basic back protector. It's a bit heavy compared to the stock foam, but it's comfortable and you barely notice the change out. The air flow through it is great and it definitely seems like it'd hold up well in slide.

I wanted some summer gloves that I could use on the street and track so I picked these up. They fit well and are comfortable. Definitely a good buy.

They're definitely a man's shoe so the only thing I would caution to the ladies is that they may run tad bigger than you'd like. I just tightened the laces and always make sure to wear boot socks though and that seemed to solve it for me. The air flow will be GREAT for summer, but when it's cooler, they don't do that great keeping my feet warm. (Again, change your socks out and you'll probably be fine.) They're very comfortable for walking around in and riding. There's a lot of flexibility like a sneaker, but also the protection of a boot. I've been in the rain with them 2xs and I have no complaints. Some scuffing on the toe showed up almost immediately, but it's very light and honestly not very noticeable like it can be on other boots. I've only had them for a few weeks so I can't speak to their long-term durability, but I'm pretty confident they'll hold up well.
I'd say if you want the versatility of a sneaker and the protection of a boot, definitely try these out.

Are these shoes slip proof?
I haven't seen anything about the shoe being 'officially' slip proof, but I've been riding with them for about 3 weeks and haven't experienced any slipping issues.
