I bought one 15 years ago and bought a second cover for a second bike that would be outside all the time. The first cover needs me to renew the water repellent, but other than that and the fading they're both in the same condition. No rips and seams are in good condition. The new cover has a clip on the strap underneath it along w/grommets on the bottom in the middle which I run a cable and a lock to secure the cover.
It's not the cheapest cover, but b/c of the performance of the previous cover I think it will be worth the additional cost.

I had the old Motorhead version of these boots and they finally gave up the ghost after ten years of hard wear. The Motorhead fit a little smaller and took me about a year of on, off wear for them to finally be comfortable. This new version fit comfortably right out of the box and made my feet feel just as protected. I don't ride w/out motorcycle footwear and these are the most secure, short boots I've found.
The gray color is a little stylin' but if you're going to give me a discount on color on a good boot, sold.

Currently using it to secure my bike cover. Will it stop someone w/a knife or scissors? No, but hopefully it will secure the cover from wind and the random knob who tries to snatch it off the bike.
It's seems sturdy enough to use for other applications; securing helmets, jackets, etc. to the bike and annoying the opportunistic thieves.
