I got these so I could have some ankle protection without having to switch shoes once I got off the bike. And these fit the bill well. I've already gotten a lot of compliments on them and I've walked around downtown and a college campus with comfort. And on the bike, they're great. My ankles are covered and protected which is a major concern of mine (I have boney ankles that get scraped/burned/nicked all the time no matter what I'm doing). The only thing I would say is that crew socks are a necessity, otherwise it might rub at the top too much. Overall, a great shoe. I will definitely buy another pair when I wear through these. Also, I typically wear a 9.5 shoe, and ordered these in the size that's comparable to a 9 (I think that's a 41) and they fit really well so consider ordering a half size down.

This jacket is exactly what I've been looking for since I started riding. It fits the way I want, adjusts where I want (at the sleeves and bottom) and has the neck cuff I've been looking for. The only downside is that it's a summer-only jacket...I really wish AlpineStars would come out with this exact jacket in a 3 season style. The optional back protector fits perfectly and I feel just as protected and secure in this lighter weight jacket as I have in any of my bulkier, layered jackets. I am 5'7" and 135lbs and the small fit perfectly. It's just a tad short, but every jacket I've ever worn is a tad short so it's nothing I'm not used to. I would recommend any woman try this jacket. You'll never want a different one.

Does this jacket fit like the Cleo 2.0 in sizing?
I have a Cleo (trying to upgrade for more of a 3 season jacket), and I fit into the M size category according to the size chart, but it swallows me when I wear it so I was just wondering if the Alter Ego fit as generously so that I could order the correct size.
