Arai Signet-Q Helmet - Solid Colors The Signet-Q takes all the favorite features of the RX-Q and create a whole new series based on all the successes. On the outside, the Arai Signet-Q Helmet looks very similar to it's namesake, the RX-Q, but on the inside you can see and feel the difference. A longer shell shape on the Arai Signet-Q Helmet gives 5mm more space front to back allowing for a larger number of heads to fit comfortably. The shape of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet releases forehead pressures and eliminate hot spots for a more comfortable fit every time. This shape works best for riders with a long oval headshape. This was my second helmet in less than two years. My first, an Arai Vector-2, just never fit right. Had problems with one side only. Many cheek pads later plus cutting away material by my left ear, I decided I have a longer oval head shape and needed the Signet-Q. The material inside is better and fit is excellent. I did notice that I seem to have more noise with this helmet than my previous two helmets. I have yet to take a longer ride than two hours at a time so I don't quite know how I will feel after 8 hours. Good ventilation from all the openings. Mounted my Sena without any issues. I have yet to try this helmet in real summer heat. There is a new helmet glue type smell. Hopefully this will go away over time.

I just jumped into the real world and have gone cordless. I just received the Sena as a birthday gift to use in my new Arai Signet Q helmet. Installation was easy. I had to use additional sticky Velcro since I have different check pad material. Not a problem. The kit is complete with every which way instructions to hook these up. Next was pairing with my phone and GPS. Again easy. Last was pairing with my friend and testing. All works. Phone calls, no problem. Music and guidance? Once again no issues. Volume is fine with my BMWR1200RT. Lacks a bit of bass but overall I am quite pleased.

I like the idea of having a tinted shield for daytime use and able to remove at night. My helmet did not come with a Pinlock face shield but I was able to add this to my Victor 2 and now I have all the features to change tints. Easy to remove after a few times.
