Great for afternoon rides to, and evening rides back. The Gradient feature could only be topped by a Transitions-type auto darkening lens like the Bell helmets have.
BTW, I love my X-Twelve Helmet!

How dark is the dark tint? Live in the Pacific NW and it's not always that sunny plus there's lot of shades from trees.
Want to know if this is to dark for the overcast skies and rides with lotes of shades from trees. Can you see the road clearly as to avoid pot holes, bump and other obstacles? I'm concern that the road won't be seen as clearly as a clear lense.
I ride with my dark tint shield at night occasionally. It's do-able. I just bought a half-smoke for day rides that turn into night. Any daytime riding, the dark smoke works great for me though.

You must buy a Pinlock shield.
