Shorai LFX Lithium Battery The Shorai LFX Lithium motorcycle batteries are some of the lightest and most powerful replacement batteries available! See Shorai Specifications and Dimensions data sheet (pdf) for fitment guide and specifications. Most powersports enthusiasts have gotten used to hooking up a tender to their lead-acid batteries, all the time. Shorai LFX have much slower self-discharge than the best lead acid do (1/6 to 1/7, on average), they do not sulfate as capacity drops, and they are the ultimate deep cycle battery, which means that they can still crank your vehicle even if the remaining capacity is quite low. Therefore most riders will not need to use a tender at all. A fully charged LFX can sit for a year or more and still retain adequate starting capacity, without damaging the battery. As such, any vehicle which has no current flowing when the key is OFF should never need a tender. At most it should be charged every 6 to 12 months, depending on the average storage temperature (cool storage is much better for any battery). Newer vehicles may have a significant draw even when the key is OFF, to maintain clocks and computers, etc. In this case Shorai expects that a few hours of riding per month will be all that is needed to avoid tending. If you know that you will go a number of weeks or months without riding, you can either attach a tender, or disconnect the negative cable from the battery. In any case, during storage you may use the voltage chart above and an accurate voltmeter, and consider recharging when the battery is around the 50 capacity remaining mark, or above. Features Ultra light - one fifth the weight of lead-acid batteries on average Zero sulfation for longer service life Holds unloaded charge for one year without maintenance Military spec Carbon Composite Case Faster cranking for better starts Super-fast recharge rate No explosive gasses during charge, no lead, no acid Environmentally friendly Two-Year Warranty! Shorai recommends NOT using a charger/tender if it has an automatic desulfation mode, which cannot be turned off. Shorai has confirmed with Deltran, makers of the Battery Tender brand, that their products do NOT have a desulfation mode, and are therefore OK for use with Shorai LFX. However the best possible charger/tender for Shorai LFX is the Shorai SHO-BMS01 Battery Management System . Case Size 1 148mm length Case Size 2 113mm length Case Size 3 166mm length Case Size 4 148mm length Case Size 5 134mm length Case Size 6 148mm length See Shorai Specifications and Dimensions data sheet (pdf) for fitment guide and specifications. Please Note It is extremely important that you use only the appropriate battery for your bike! A battery with incorrect amperage may damage the battery or worse yet, your ride. Shorai Batteries may not be a drop in replacement, some modification to battery box, terminals etc may be necessary. If you have any questions about which battery may work for you, please call us at 877-792-9455.

This battery is ridiculously light weight! So far I have been very impressed as it's been installed for about 1k miles.
Note: I have a 07' V-Strom 650 and this battery is notably smaller and I had to fill the battery box with material to keep this battery from sliding around. I used a old Cush Drive I had laying around. Works great.

After several pavement rides and one 3 day off pavement ride/camping trip I can say that I really like this seat.
Install - installing the seat is NOT as easy as the stock seat. It takes some patience and precise placement for the seat to securely slide into place. The bottom prongs are short and shallow. Meaning you have to press down in the seat pan (hard) as you slide the seat forward to get the prongs under the saddle bar. Additionally you have to mind the lower parts of the seat and spread them open to slide over the plastic. So although you may hear and feel the rear lock click, pull up on the front of the seat to ensure the prongs are under the bar.
Although the seat does not slide on as easy as the stock seat, the comfort more than makes up for all of it! With the v-strom stock seat, my rump only lasted 1.5hrs before I would get uncomfortable. I have done 400+ mile pavement mountain rides and 3 day off pavement rides and never once did I get a hot spot or become uncomfortable with this seat.
This seat does sit a bit higher than the stock seat, prob 2 inches or so. With the stock seat (while riding) I could not dangle my legs as the entire foot would lay flat with bent knees. This Moose Racing seat, I can ride down the highway and dangle my legs without touching (I do have to keep my feet flat though - and not dangle feet).
The seat is very comfy and I recommend!

AltRider Suzuki V-Strom DL1000 Skid Plate Protect the vital engine cases and oil sump without giving up ground clear with the AltRider skid plate for the Suzuki V-Strom DL1000. Constructed of impact resistant 4.75 mm anodized aluminum, this skid plate provides ideal protection for off road conditions. Your exhaust header pipe is also fully protected without sacrificing ground clearance. The oil cooler is well protected while still allowing optimal air flow. Made with the riders convenience in mind, the skid plate can remain installed during oil changes on the center-stand or side-stand since the relief is cut so oil can be drained while the bike is upright or on the side-stand. Included with the skid plate is a redesigned rear bracket that allows for easier installation and more overall strength. The skid plate matches up perfectly to the V-Strom crash bars using hidden fasteners for a clean, finished look. This product is also available in silver. Take a moment to watch the installation video (click the thumbnail to the right). Youll see everything that comes with your purchase, the tools youll need to complete the installation, and tips and tricks to make the process easier. Seamlessly integrates into V-Strom crash bars Made from 4.75 mm (3/16 inch) thick lightweight anodized aluminum Protects oil cooler without restricting air flow Full exhaust header protection Change your oil without removing skid plate Finished in your choice of black or silver Hidden fasteners Known to work with the SW Motech center stand Note You may need an extra set of hands during installation to help you hold the bike upright if your V-Strom isn't equipped with a center stand.

This skid plate was purchased because my previous skid plate could not take the beating I was giving it. I bent the snot out of it beyond repair.
Because of the off road riding I do, I need the beefiest plate I could find. This AltRider is it. The mounting system is as it should be! Its somewhat easy to do the initial install. The mounting bracket under the bike is not the simplest to get to. It takes patience and u-joint socket of sorts but it went on without too many curse words.
The plate is very stout and has already proven to be the right choice for my riding.
If you need a gnarly skid plate to take a beating in rough off road conditions, this is it.

Frankly, the only reason I bought these bars is because I wanted the AltRider skid plate (which only mounts to these bars).
The fit and finish is great. Well it was when I bought them. I have since dropped the bike, lets just say several times and the bars did their job. The paint is scratched up but the bars themselves are without dents or scrapes.
The only complaint is price. Things are spendy.
High quality product but it better be for the price. =)

These work great! Easy to install and adjust. I have an 07' wee strom and did not have to replace any lines. However, I did somewhat reroute the brake line as it was a bit too tight for my comfort. I was able to remove it from the line holder that mounts to the front frame and tie strapped it to another wire bundle. This provided plenty of slack.
About 50% of my riding is off pavement, so being able to stand taller and more comfortable was worth every penny.
Also, I have the Moose Racing seat (which raised me about 2.5 inches over stock seat height) and I'm very happy to have the bar risers!

I much prefer this clip but the ear bud input is a bit on the weak side and the plastic can tear after some use. I have locked mine in place using sugru. just molded it around the input and it makes it a solid piece that wont bend or tear.

These have been a great addition to the group of guys I ride with regularly. The range is great, connectivity to other devices works well, although the Garmin GPS can from time to time be a bit of a pain when the audio commands are on. But I dont use audio commands on any of my GPS units so turning it off was an easy decision as all my music comes from my phone. The only complaint is I with the unit came with the ear bud option clip. None of us run the helmet speakers because they just are not comparable to a decent set of ear buds. (I use Skull Candy)

Yet again, Dainese has overwhelmed me with the quality of their products. At first inspection the seams are gorgeous and the material feels exotic. I really like how the two different materials are used to accommodate function. I did a three day dual sport ride in cold weather and this balaclava blocks out all the wind and fit perfectly inside my Arai RXQ. I would definitely recommend this or any Dianese product

I', 6'1, 215lbs and I normally wear a 34 pant, 35 usually fits best. So I took the advice and sized up so I could use these as an overpant. They fit perfect as a warm weather pant (with shorts underneath), as an overpant, the legs are a bit tight. The waste sizing is good, but the bottom of the leg is a tight squeeze over a pant and the top of my boot. Makes me look like I have kankles. But I like them well enough to not care and keep them. They flow a ton of air but I have not tried out the liner just yet. I would imagine with the liner in, I will not be able to wear these as an overpant.
