Bell Custom 500 Grand National LE Helmet
Bell Custom 500 Grand National LE Helmet
Bell Custom 500 Grand National LE Helmet With its checkered flags, bold number and racing stripes, the Bell Custom 500 Grand National LE Helmet's custom inspired graphics pay homage to the original 500 helmet formed by Roy Richter back in 1954. Modern protective technology has been brought into play by combining a custom fiberglass layup with a specially designed EPS foam layer. This technology has enabled Bell engineers to craft a helmet that is at once light weight, narrow in profile, and DOT-compliant. Add in the chrome trim work and the quilted liner and this sporty retro lid looks as good as it performs. Features Custom fiberglass shell Custom-quilted liner Chrome trim Integrated snaps for aftermarket shields and visors Padded chin strap with D-ring closure and strap keeper Five-year warranty Certification DOT Weight 880g

This helmet is a good looking retro helmet.
That being said it is still a mushroom top.
Looks great on the shelf not so much on my head.
Strap is quite long.
Yes, I recommend this product.

how hot does it get in the helmet?

this may seem like a silly question, but my question is how hot does it get in the helmet? I am thinking about buying this helmet to use as a bicycle helmet. i have a motorycle and can use it a passenger helmet, but i figure i can use this for riding my bicycle as well. I figure riding my bike i probably wont get faster then 20 or so MPH so i was wondering about the heat in the helmet at a standstill or slow speeds. im not trying to put a sweatbox on my head. i figure nice bike helmets go for about $60+ so why not check out a helmet i can use for both motorycle and bike riding. thanks.
It would be too warm
