I was familiar with the d3o material from my Klim gear. So, when I got a Dainese jacket, I wanted more form-fitting protection than the Dainese inserts. As it turns out the Viper T5 Pro has almost exactly the same dimensions as the Dainese N-Frame insert, so it fits in the pocket of the new jacket perfectly. The d3o material conforms to your back, so you're pretty well unaware that it's there. I hope to never "need" it, but am glad that I have it. A real value in back protection.
Yes, I recommend this product.
