The wired mic was ordered as an option for my modular helmet when it became quickly apparent that the boom mic that is standard with the kit did not allow sufficient room under the chin. The Cardo advertising online and on-the-box described the optional wired mic as a "special version for full faced helmets."
When I attempted to install the microphone on the face, I found that the wire from the control unit to the mic was too short. This short length did not allow the modular face to be flipped up. When I called Cardo the customer support rep said, "We do not recommend the wired mic for modular helmets." I feel this is a significant failure in the unit description and the marketing. A modular helmet is simply a sub-set of a full faced helmet.
Eventually, I learned to first put the helmet on, then attach the mic lightly (and awkwardly) to the velcro tab: firm enough that it will stay put in use and light enough that if I forget it is attached when I raise the modular face, the wire detaches easily.
On the plus side, the wire allows me to store the mic out of the way on the back part of the helmet for the 95% of the time I am riding solo and using only the bluetooth function of the earphones to hear music or the GPS.

I have put a lot of miles on these Rev'It GTX Legacy pants. The more ride in them, the better I like them.
At first they seem like an odd fit. The longs are really long. I am 6'2" and have a 34" inseam, so I ordered the "long" size. They seemed almost too long. The knee pads droop down lower than my knees when standing, even when adjusted to the highest velcro positioned. These are not pants to wear for social occasions.
But sit ON YOUR BIKE, and you'll get it. They are cut to fit perfectly when riding: the right length over your boot, the right position for the knee protectors, the right length and comfort up your back. Of all the motorcycle pants I've owned, these are far and away the best fit and greatest protection ever.
This summer, I wore them on a 5,000+ mile trip from Colorado to Canada and back via six western states and two provinces. 900 miles was in the rain, at times pouring down at 42 F degrees. The pants worked perfectly. On extended rainy days, I did wear an additional rain pant, but only to ward off the mud and road slop.
I found them to be sufficiently warm without the insert down to 50 degrees. Below that, the thermal inserts worked nicely to 35 F. They are comfortable on warm days up to 80, after which they become stuffy but still tolerable up to around 90 with the vents open. Yet for the bullet-proof feel of the fabric, amount of armor and GoreTex, they balance high-low temperatures just fine.
Yes, they are pricey. But on those long 600+ mile days or 8 hours of pouring rain, they are worth every cent.

Nolan N-90 gets four and a half stars

The Nolan N90 is a very good choice in flip-up helmets, especially for the price. The shell has a very solid feel, easy to open and closes with a strong snap. It has excellent peripheral visibility and visor clarity. Riding with the visor down the first few times, I had to touch it to see if it was actually down. It was so clear, I thought I had left the visor open.
There is very high quality construction, as good as my previous Shuberth C-2 for a fraction of the price. It is just as comfortable as my C-2, despite having a firmer, closer fit.
I found the helmet noise relatively quiet for a flip-up, although this will differ with each rider based on fit, fairing, speed and conditions.
I'd actually give the N90 four and a half stars. The only distraction was in the internal sun visor which has an odd shape (like a pair of ski goggles) and a bothersome distortion along the bottom edge. It does not work well if the sun visor is only partially lowered, as the distorted edge interferes with clarity. If this were not the case, the N90 would get a solid five stars.(Of course most helmets have NO sun visor, so you can always just leave it up!)
Bottom line: The N90 is a top-notch choice for touring or town.
*Footnote: Every helmet can fit differently on each rider. One of the great strengths of Revzilla is the ease with which you can return your pick and try a different size if needed!
Pros Comfortable, Great Value, Rugged
Cons Sun visor distortion
Yes, I recommend this product.

As Superior as they are Substantial

The quality and superiority of these boots become evident as soon as you take them out of the box. And the perception only gets better with every ride. For a road boot, they are substantial: high, rugged, heavily protective of all parts of the foot and ankle. A bit stiff at first, but if other's are right, they should loosen up. The only caveat is that they have been warm this Spring and may get hot in summer, (but then they will never be cold). We'll see. Yes, they are expensive, but considering that they will last twice as long ( or longer ) than those other puppies you were considering, think of them as "half price."
I have had the same pair of Sidi mountain biking shoes for over seven years and thousands of miles. Despite incredible abuse (and spectacular crashes) they are still going strong. Sidi is the #1 rated shoe brand in the bicycling world and I have no doubt these On Road boots will be just as exceptional, too.
Pros Comfortable, Fashionable, Rugged
Yes, I recommend this product.
