These boots are GORGEOUS. They beg to be worn with skinny jeans or skirts and tights. The heels aren't as high as the picture makes it appear. They're quite walkable for errands and whatnot.
Now on to the important stuff: fit and protective elements. I wear a wide width shoe normally. I JUST wore the boots for the first time on an actual ride last Saturday. They're a touch snug yet, but I imagine they will break in. Considering the above mentioned wide foot, I'm ok with this.
The calf...is unfortunately NOT designed for fuller calves. There IS a stretch panel to the calf, but there's really not THAT much stretch there. If you normally buy wide-calf boots, do be aware this style may not work for you.
I've been known to rant about boots sold as motorcycle boots that lack any actual protective elements. You know the ones-"motorcycle" boots that don't even have reinforced ankles. Not only do the Forma "Ivory" boots have reinforced ankles-they have reinforced SHINS.
Long story short:
As far as i'm concerned, if these boots fit you-they're truly the perfect boot. Beautiful AND protective. And pending break-in surprisingly comfortable.
