I have worn these boots on dry days since the beginning of this season (April 2012) . On cooler days you can really feel the airflow on your foot so it is not a good cold weather boot. It was designed for hot days and it works great when paired with some good vented socks. Even in 38 C temps my feet are comfortable as long as I keep moving :-) I have been caught in a rain shower a few times and my feet stayed dry. They are very comfortable for all day riding. You can't go wrong with SIDI!! The only caution is that if you have wide feet I would pass on these boots.

This pant is sized small for an Overpant. If you are riding 'commando', order your normal size. If you want an Overpant, order at least one size larger in the waist depending on what you will wear under them and whether you want a tight or baggy fit. Plan on using the provided web belt with velcro closure since the belt loops are too small for a regular belt.
The pants are well constructed and seem to be very durable. NOT a warm weather pant. These pants are warm with the thermal liner pant. I rode today (26 F & windy); I was very comfortable with the thermal liner pant in - maybe even a bit too warm. The outer pant lining is comfortable and wicks sweat a little. The armor adjustments are awesome. The thigh pockets are sized right and well placed. If you are wearing riding boots you probably won't have to hem the pants if you are average build. I ordered size 36 waist at 5' 9" and 215 lbs. They are snug in the waist but are very comfortable on the bike. ( I need to loose my winter fat). I rode in light rain and was completely dry. I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this for cold weather riding. I am 5' 9", 215 lbs and the Large size fits me great. The collar is soft and works well under my Teknic jacket. I rode today at -3 C / 26 F with a wicking layer under the Full Blast, (under my jacket with thermal liner of course) and I was not cold at 105 kph / 65 mph.

The Airglide riding pants has a waterproof liner. Does it have a full length side zipper?
With a full length zipper, you can zip it UP in hot dry weather, tuck it to the inside of the leg and get good air flow. If it starts to rain, pull over, zip it down and you're good to go in the rain.

which size?
I'm very confused by the size chart. I'm planning to buy the Mens Airglide Pants and my true waist is 43". However, my jeans waist size is 36. Now which is the size presented in the size chart? What size shuold I buy for the pants?

I think that you can go with your jean size. My jeans are 38 and I wear the Ranger 3 pants in size 36 WITHOUT THE LINER PANT. I used to be a size 34 but gained weight due to a health issue. My Airglide pants are size 34 and I am planning on using them next season after I lose the weight. I hope that this helps :-)

I'm a 33'' waist and I plan on wearing the airglide primarily in hot weather with no liner. Can I go with a size 32?

What does the "EZ Hem" mean? I'm a 34x32 jean wearer...
How can you hem these if there is velcro on the bottom?
The 'EZ Hem" means that the pant leg zipper stops about 6 inches short of the cuff of the pant so if you need to have them hemmed you won't have to worry about removing or replacing the zipper. The velcro can be easily cut anywhere in that 6 inch area without affecting the pant zipper. I am same size pants as you and have the Airglide pants. Love them! Depending on your preference you probably won't have to hem them if you don't mind some bunching when walking; on the bike should fit great!!

Is the Ranger 3 pant coating breathable and waterproof?
I read that the exterior Cordura fabric is "coated" which I normally associate with urethane which is very waterproof and not breathable. The description goes on to describe a "water proof breathable membrane" which I can describe as Goretex like but you can't. So which is it? Is the over pant coated in the waterproof breathable membrane or the simple urethane coating which is waterproof but not breathable ?
There is no exterior coating on the outer Cordura fabric. The waterproof membrane (not sure of brand name) is a separate layer between the outer fabric and the inner mesh lining. There is a separate removable liner pant which is also water resistant and I use them only for really cold weather. The Ranger 3 pants do not breath well except for minor wicking due to the mesh lining. These are NOT hot weather pants but are very comfortable, durable and well designed/constructed and completely waterproof in my experience.
Sizing is a bit small for an overpant. If you want to use them as overpants I would go one size bigger. *disclaimer* I have thick cyclists legs and a 48 year old gut..:-)
