SAS-TEC SC-1/07 Hip Protector Upgraded replacements only fit the REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Pants , REV'IT! Defender Pants and REVIT! Everest Pants . Sold as one pair.
I bought this to fit the hip pockets of my Scott Dual Raid TP pants. They fit perfectly into the pants and go totally unnoticed. They are about as thick as your normal foam hip pads, but the protection is second to none.
I've never gone done on a bike, but I'm confident knowing I have the best protection money can buy.
SAS-TEC Back Protector Cutting edge SAS-TEC material is intelligent armor constructed from visco elastic soft foam smart molecules. It has earned the highest CE rating available (CE level 2), during an impact, the armor freezes and hardens, absorbing the shock and distributing its force over a large area to reduce the risk of fractures. The protector is not destroyed by impact, but reverts back to its original state and maintains its capability to protect from multiple impacts. SAS-TEC Armor has a soft and pliable exterior (as opposed to rigid KNOX armor) which offers a great deal of comfort and mobility. This protector is anatomically designed and fitted to provide superior spine and back protection as well as the base of the neck /between the shoulder blades. SC-1/11 fits Women's Turbine Jacket SC-1/12 fits REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Jacket and Turbine Jacket REV'IT Gore-Tex Jackets have different shaped back protector pockets depending on the size of jacket, see the size chart for fitment information SC-1/16 should only be used for XYL or larger Gore-Tex Jackets SC-1/11 Measurements (approximate) Height 15 3/4 Width (at widest point) 13 Thickness 3/4 SC-1/12 Measurements (approximate) Height 19 Width (at widest point) 13 Thickness 3/4 SC-1/16 Measurements (approximate) Height 21 3/8 Width (at widest point) 13 3/8 Thickness 3/4
I bought this to fit my Scott Dual Raid TP jacket. The size 1/12 fits the pocket well. There's a little extra room in the jacket pocket, but I'm not sure if the 1/16 (as specified by the tag in the jacket) would fit this jacket. It's very thick for a back pad and does affect the fit of the jacket a bit, but the extra protection is totally worth it. Having said that about the thickness, I never noticed it on my first ride with the jacket. Not once did I find myself focusing on the fit of the jacket or the thickness of the back pad.
I'm hoping I never have to test it, but I feel more confident knowing I have the best armor on the market.
