This jacket fits well and looks sharp. Hats off to the Revzilla team for their great help in selecting the right size for me. So far, I have used this jacket for freeway commutes up I-95 in the DC area during the early spring, and with the liner in, the jacket keeps me nice and warm on my morning commute when it's about 40 degrees outside. Take out the liner in the afternoon, and the airflow is great. You almost don't notice you're wearing a jacket. The High-Viz color is very bright--no missing the jacket, and the Knox back pad slides right in for extra protection. The only thing slightly weird about this jacket is that it zips up on the left hand side...at first I thought I had accidentally ordered a women's model, but no...those European men must have left-side zippers...takes a little getting used to, but it's not that big of a deal. BUY THIS JACKET. Thanks Revzilla!

Icon Alliance Shakki Helmet So 'Shakki' doesn't actually mean anything. It's merely an English ear trying to describe the sound of a Japanese tattoo being applied. As the needles are pulled from the skin they make a sound that resembles 'shakki'. Of course we only know this through the internet. The closest we've been to a Japanese tattoo is the really cool Kanji symbol for 'Loyalty' inked on the side of our neck. Our advise If you want wild graphics reminiscent of classical Japanese art minus the elegant simplicity, the Icon Alliance Shakki Helmet can bridge that desire for refined brushwork mised with mayhem - all without having to find out if needles pulled from your skin make any noise. All World Standard, meets or exceeds the following DOT DMVSS 218(US), ECE 22-05(Europe), SAI AS1698 (Australia) SG (Japan) safety and testing standards. Does not ship with SAI or SG certification stickers unless purchased from an authorized dealer in that country Wind tunnel tested and refined Molded twin channel supervent for increased cooling Rear exhaust ports prevent heat buildup Removable molded breath deflector reduces shield fogging Injection molded polycarbonate shell for strength Long oval headform Chin venting system reduces shield fogging Fully removable/washable Hydradry interior Prolock shield locking system

This is my second Icon Alliance helmet and it does not disappoint. The helmet itself fits firmly and is very comfortable. It provides great venting, especially in warm weather with easily accessible vent switches on the chin and on top of the helmet. Besides the quality of the fit, you can't argue that the artwork on the helmet is one of the most beautiful on the market...it's definitely a head turner...now you too can have the beauty of a Japanese Yakuza tattoo without making mom mad!

Should I get a 48 or a 50

I am looking to replace my Turbine jacket with the Tornado. With the Turbine, the size 52 was too big for me, and the size 50 was a pretty good fit, but maybe just a little snug.

The video review of the Tornado says it runs roomier than other Rev'it jackets. So I'm wondering if the Tornado size 50 will be too big for me and I should go with the size 48... or, will it be just a little bigger than a Turbine size 50, giving me a perfect fit? Thanks.
GeeBee, I was wondering about sizing too. I did the personal measure, and ordered the 50, but then decided to talk directly to the Revzilla guys. The Revzilla guys told me the jacket runs in "normal" American style sizing to fit "our" bodies (whatever that means). For reference...I'm 5'7" and 160 lbs with an athletic build. The 52 ends up fitting me perfect...it's just the right height at the waist, sleeves aren't too long, and it's not snug at all..feels very natural. With the wind/waterproof liner in, it's slightly more bulky, but not so tight as to not being able to move. Recommend that you re-take your measurements, and then talk to the Revzilla guys...they were great, and helped me select 52, which ended up being perfect. Happy riding! Ray

Is this helmet and all other helmets on RevZilla DOT certified at the minimum?

This helmet is DOT certified. I don't know about all the ones sold on RevZilla, but you could always go the manufacturer's web site on any helmet if you have a question. I am saying that the Shakki Icon Alliance helmet is DOT certified. Buy it, it's beautiful!
