Dainese Avro Race Suit Avro Comfort that is second to none. Combining excellent ergonomics with elevated safety is always a top priority at Dainese. Avro is now the new point of reference for comfort in professional suits thanks to its exclusive patented Second Skin construction that combines the bi-axial elastic properties of S1 fabric with the resistance of the leather to which it is laminated in the points that required greatest protection. These unprecedented levels of comfort and freedom of movement further enhance even the most intense racetrack riding, which benefits from constantly ideal ventilation thanks to the spoiler with air vents and localised perforation. I've been using this suit for about 6 months now, this is my first 1pc race suit.
Sizing: the size i ordered was spot on for all of my measurments, and i can get the suit on, though i couldn't use a back protector and have quite the camel toe when standing up. If i had gone 1 size bigger i could wear the suit all day. This is only when not riding the bike, on the bike the suit fits like a glove, the groin has room again and freedom of movment getting the knee out is as if not wearing anything.
- The Bad - The zippers of the reomvable liner at the base of the quad don't end at the same point in the suit and liner ===-- so the zipps come undone while you wear the suit and dig into your thigh after a while, also, there is a heavy seam in the stretch panel on the back of the calf, which chaffes after a while. it's also fairly restrictive around the armpits (I'm no fatty either!#
The S1 stretch material is actually stretches i reckon only about 10%.
- The Good - The suit looks AMAZING! The leather is so supple it feels like you could rip it with your finger #you can't!#. In the tuck the suit is super comfortable #when you have the liner zips sorted# ventilation is great.
and the suit looks AMAZING! #you may hear "stupid sexy Flanders" from time to time#
I conducted protection testing a few weeks ago #haha oops# in a small wet lowside 50km/h #30Mph#. i slid on my knee slider and toe slider #so only a small rash on the thigh# before trying to stand up #oops again) and finnishing the slide on my shoulder #all on the track surface). This tore a chunk of the supple skin like outer layer of the leather but didnt hurt the suit structurally. I didnt get a mark, bruise, scratch or a sore ANYTHING, so top marks for protection!
I couldnt get black and white in my size that time of purchase so i got black. After seeing someone else with black and white im kind of happy i just got black, as the black white sort of just looked like every other set of leathers on the market the black seems to look a bit special.
I also purchased a set of Dainese Torque Pro Out boots at the same time which had a very minor fault and the support form Revzilla was truely OUTSTANDING!
I recomend the Avro if you have the dollars and like to look good.
I definately recomend Revzilla for their support and product information.
Rides: 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1
Yes, I recommend this product.
