I originally purchased the smoke shield and didn't think it was dark enough so I purchased the mirrored shield.
Big disappointment with the mirrored shield. I can see my reflection inside as if the inside is mirrored also. Only shield I've ever purchased that has this "feature". Great helmet but the shields are a major let-down. Seeing my reflection on the inside is not a great way to ride.
Back to the clear shield and sunglasses.

 Bell Bullitt Barn Fresh Helmet
Bell Bullitt Barn Fresh Helmet

As written by others the sizing seems to be a bit on the small size. Originally ordered a size small and dang, the tabs that snap the removable liner at the forehead area (sides) was just painful. There is no give at all in this interior. But wow, what a great looking helmet (Barn Fresh). At $180 on closeout, get one! Luckily a size medium is available so I'll see how that one fits. I do think the interior is not an intermediate oval but more of a neutral oval. The sides and back were a perfect fit in size small but the forehead = ouch. No way it would break in with no padding to "give". I've got my fingers crossed the medium fits since I really like the look of this helmet.

Purchased this for my HD Forty Eight. Holds just enough of the essentials: baseball cap, sunglasses, cell phone, water bottle, thin mid-layer, etc. And I like the look of this bag on the Forty Eight (see pictures). I will note that I used black zip-ties for the bottom attachment as the provided buckles were a bit challenging to work with due to the small diameter of the sissy bar. For me the zip-ties make it a better fitment.
Also experienced the usual rock solid customer service from Revzilla. Thanks!

Kabuto Avand II Helmet The Kabuto Avand 2 is the perfect helmet for touring or city use when an open face is preferred, but there is a desire to have a quiet and well-built helmet. And because it shares its DNA with the FF-5V, the Wake Stabilizer and fully removable and washable CoolMax interior is standard. Features Three (3) shell sizes Compact and lightweight thermo plastic shell (T.P.S.) Dual density impact absorption liner Wake Stabilizer controls airflow around the helmet SAJ Single Action Shield System Head (H.V.) and Rear (R.V.) ventilation systems Pinlock-ready face shield ( Pinlock insert lens sold separately ) CoolMax fully detachable and washable interior pads, cheek pads and chinstrap covers Meets and exceeds D.O.T. and ECE standards (2XL is D.O.T certified only) Note Helmets may not have Show 'em your attitude graphic on them.

Finally a helmet under $200 that has vents and also fits my mostly oval head. It’s been a long journey. I’ve been looking for an open face helmet, with shield, for about a month. Tried the HJC IS-33 II, AFX FX-43, GMax GM67, Scorpion EXO-CT220, Bell Mag-9 Sena, and finally the Kabuto Avand II.
The fit and finish of the Kabuto is impressive at its price point. The EXO-CT220 is a close second followed by the IS-33 II. The biggest disappointment was the Mag-9 Sena. I wanted to like that helmet but couldn’t due to the forehead snaps of the interior liner; right side one created a pressure point when wearing the helmet and since it’s plastic it’s not going anywhere (won’t “break in”).
Back to the Kabuto Avand II. I went with the Eternal Blue since it’s something different and it, to me, looks great in person. It has a very slight metallic sparkle in bright sunlight. Cool Max interior is comfortable and living in Florida will hopefully be an advantage. Venting is pretty good. I wondered about the placement of the rear ports at the top but I can feel the air moving over the top of my head.
The only thing I can grumble about is the chin strap. Sorta presses into my throat more than I’d like; but not enough to return the helmet.
Finally, sizing. I have just about a 22” melon so this places me in 99% of helmets the top end of size small. For the Kabuto I had to size up to a medium. The small was like trying to wear an XS, way too snug and no way it would break in enough that it would be relatively comfortable.
And as always, thanks Revzilla for the outstanding customer service.

I was questioning on whether I would need a small or medium and since size small was out of stock I went ahead and purchased the medium. Good thing I did. I'm about a size 40 men's suit jacket and the medium was perfect for me. I also really like the shorter torso of this jacket as it fits my 5'7" frame better than many jackets which seem to be either cut for a taller skinny guy or someone with some extra meals on them. I'm nether so I'm very happy with the fitment of this jacket. Arms are slightly snug for me so I'm not sure I can layer if I needed to though. The olive color with the black leather trim pieces looks awesome in person and the waist adjustments is killer too for fitment. Kudos to Revzilla as always with the super fast shipping and the great video reviews.

KBC has a winner here. Their VR and VR-4R helmets fit me perfectly. I've had a VR Laguna for over a year and decided to pick up the VR-4R. Helmet is very light weight and comfortable. However, I do think it's a bit noisy especially if you're turning your head to the left or right to look for traffic. I usually wear earplugs but didn't during my first ride as I wanted to know how noisy it really was. First helmet I've owned that people stopped to ask me about it. I think I probably bought one of the last ones in my size in North America. Kudos to Revzilla for having one in stock!
