I bought this jacket before a nice big trip, when it arrived I was just awestruck by the technical beauty of the jacket. I started out on the high way and the temperatures were unusually hot so I took out the liner and was just fine. The open road in west texas where you are subject to high winds and temperature drops was nothing for this jacket, I was comfortable the entire way. Towards the end of my trip I was caught in a pretty nice rain storm and again this jacket performed flawlessly. Not once did a single drop of water reach my skin after 4 hours of constant wet conditions. On the return trip home I was subject to very cold weather for a motorcyclist, 34 degrees farenheit. I rode in this cold weather for about 3 hours and was just as warm as I would be in the summer. This jacket is just purely awesome. It does not come with a back protector but I wear dainese jackets any way and already have one. This jacket also looks phenominal off the bike in a casual setting as well. All around great jacket.

 Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust BMW K1200S/R 2005-2008
Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust BMW K1200S/R 2005-2008
Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust BMW K 1200R / S 2005-2008 The muscular K 1200 R in all its glory. As the naked version of the sporty S model it also displays sporty elegance and top-notch design. We have developed an Akrapovic SLIP-ON exhaust system for riders who want to make a slight alteration to the bikes looks and performance with a minimum modification. The system fits beautifully with the strong character of the BMW. It has been developed in an open version and is not approved for street use. K1200S Performance The system shows its effects on engine performance mainly at the top of the rpm range, which can be seen clearly from the power and torque curves. At 10100 rpm we measured over 150 HP, with the max. increased power of 7.4 HP coming in at 7600 rpm, which is also the point where the max. increased torque is delivered. View Graph K1200R Performance Despite the excellent performance of the stock machine, the Akrapovic SLIP-ON manages to add both power and torque. The increase in power can be seen in the low end between 2000 and 3000 rpm, and then from 5400 rpm right to the top of the range, where the engine responds the most to the new exhaust. Max. power of 159.2 HP is measured at 10230 rpm, and max. increased power of 7.2 HP is shown at 7760 rpm. The torque curve for the Akrapovic SLIP-ON shows a similar response. View Graph NOTE Please check local laws before purchasing. Some modifications may be prohibited in some states.

First, thank you to the Revzilla staff member who came up with the answer! I am no wrench monkey by any means, the install of the slip on was so easy the most difficult part was being patient and waiting for the stock muffler to cool off so I could put the new one on. The changes that ocurred when the Akra stock was installed were noticeable right off the bat. The sound, the stock exhaust was quiet and seemed as if it was not allowing the bike to reach its full potential. The Akrapovic slip on has a very rich deep tone to it. It sounds 100 times better and has definitely turned some heads. The looks are also fantastic (I got the carbon fiber) and definitely adds a sleeker and sportier look to the bike, no more giant silver cannon barrel!!! The increase to the performance of the bike is also very noticeable. The engine feels way way way smoother when accelerating and you can definitely feel more power coming out of the engine as well. All in all it is a purchase that I will be happy with for quite a while.

I have had these pants for 6 months now and I couldn't be happier with them. They provide excellent protection and peace of mind that your legs are not going to be thrashed if (or when# you go down. The perforations and the S-1 fabric vent like crazy.........when I stand on the pegs to cool off. I have ridden in these pants around town as well as on a vacation going to Central Texas from El Paso and back #this was in the May heat of Texas). They held up well, and were extremely comfortable having been in the pants for 8 hours during the ride. I havent had much need for the pucks, there aren't too many turn in El Paso that you can drag a knee using my bike, but I do keep them on for the eventuality of a crash....extra protection. I highly recommend these pants, they will keep you protected and will be comfortable even when in the turns where you through your knee down and make the pants stretch.

I have had these gloves for about month now, they have been fantastic. When I opened the box and the plastic bag they came in my kitchen was immediately filled with the smell of pure awesome genuine quality leather. When you hold these gloves in your hand without putting them on you know that you just got your money's worth. The feel of the leather is just fantastic and the video with Anthony does these gloves no justice. In a word, BEAUTIFUL. I wear small in A-STARS so I decided to try the small with the Pro Carbon, it fit the bill. Although I do have somewhat stubby fingers so the length on any glove will never be spot on the widthe of the glove and the placement of the knuckles are superb. The air flow on these gloves work.......very well, and if it is cold all one has to do is close their fingers to prevent the air from coming in through those places. I have ridden these gloves in tempuratures down to 34 degrees (thank goodness BMW believes in heated hand grips) and up to 71 degrees so far. A big plus with these gloves is the ability to be able to use a smart phone without taking the glove off, it definitely makes life easy. The accordian stretch panels do exactly what Anthony says, they prevent the hard knuckles from moving from where they are supposed to be. The comfort of these gauntlets is just phenominal, these beuaties are made for long hauls across a wide open expanse or for the track where one can feel comfortably protected while riding down their tread. These gloves inspire confidence because of their quality and features, and I know I certainly feel like I have the protection necessary in case I go down.
Fantastic glove, you will not regret them.

This helmet is a very good quality piece of motocycle equipment.
Fit and Finish:
The helmet design and coloring are very pleasing to the eye. The finish of the helmet has even seasoned riders come up and start asking me questions about it. I just got back from a 650 mile round trip to Santa Fe wearing this helmet and performed very well. It flowed air when I wanted it to and blocked out the chiliness when I needed it. This is where the one gripe comes in. On long trips I (as well as others) enjoy listening to music during the ride. This helmet fit is tight, it kept knocking out my earbuds when I put the helmet on, however, once the helmet was on with the earbuds the earbuds had no place to go to fall out.
Venting:
All of the vents work very well. You can definitely feel the air flowing through the helmet. The top vents scoop the air and the channels in the top of the helmet flow it effectively cooling your head. Due to the fact that the majority of the trip took place at or around 30 degrees farenheit, the top vents stayed closed (which they effectively blocked the air from coming in) unless my head became too warm. The brow vent allows the air to vent directly to the forehead and brow area very effectively cooled this area down. There is one thing that will keep the air from hitting your skin with the row vent, the inner visor when it is in the down position. The chin vents work very well (when your windshield isn't blocking the air) and allows the visor to remain clear.
Visor and Inner Visor:
The visor that comes with the helmet is clear in color and provides a clear view of the road. Does it fog? Yes it does but that can be dealt with using the chin vent or the visor detent lever. The inner visor that comes with the helmet is a light smoke color. When returning to El Paso from Santa Fe the sun was constantly in my eyes. I was wearing Oakley sunglasses, the inner visor was down as well as the outer visor and it was still hurting my vision. When I got home I promptly got onto Revzilla and ordered a light smoke outer and a dark smoke inner visors.
This helmet is very good quality and I reccommend it highly. Bang for the buck? Full of bang.
The helmet is also very quiet with the usual bufffetting due to the air agitated by the bike and the windshield.

These tires are absolutely worth the money. I currently have about 3000 miles on them and whe I took my bike to the dealer to get serviced the tech and the salesman commented that they looked brand new (I ride every day and put 6500 miles on my bike between 1 June 2010 and 1 October 2010). I still have a good 3 to 4000 miles left on the tread. In the rain these tires perform as if it is a dry summer day (I wait 30 minutes after it starts raining because of the whole oil on road issue). The only time these tires have ever slipped on me is when I hit a patch of unseen oil (my fault) however no accident occured. I have done a two day ride in various terrain, open desert highway, tight mountain roads, switch backs, and sweeping corners. These things stuck to the ground and never had an issue. While using the PR3's I have reached speeds of 175 MPH (I have the model that is built for those speeds), the tires held up extremely well with no slipping or wobble, yes it was safe for me to do that I had the necessary space and gear. I look forward to putting another 4000 miles on these puppuis and will be buying another set.
