I got these in my normal size 2xl and the fit is good out of the box. A tad narrow across the hand but in my experience with leather gloves these issues will resolve themselves with use. Very good feel on the controls. They feel solid with the wrist velcro and not like they would come off in a slide. Fit under my Vanson leather jacket sleeves for a bit of airflow up the arms, which helps in the hot weather. I can feel a slight cooling effect through the gloves but they do not flow much air. Not too hot the other day though with temps in mid 90's. Very pleased with these gloves.

This is my second pair of the tcx x5 gore tex touring boots. The first pair served me well and I had them resoled once. The sole wears a bit fast but offer good traction. The boots are fairly stiff when brand new but soften and become more comfortable as they age. They offer decent protection and hold up well. Plus they just fit me right out of the box. If cared for they will last and give years of service. I rode over 50,000 miles in my last pair and wore them every day at work where I do quite a bit of walking. I usually wear a size 11 eee and the 45's fit perfect.

TCX Infinity GTX Boot As close to perfect as it gets, the TCX Infinity Gore-Tex Boot has been a staple of the TCX line up for years. This boot was inspired by famed TCX riders Cyril Despres and Marc Coma for adventure touring. A full grain leather upper with Gore-Tex lining provide unrivaled comfort and durability. This boot has been an editor pick since the beginning. Comfort Fit System (CFS) TCX products in the Touring Range are manufactured using techniques that ensure a high quality fit the Comfort Fit System (form moulding), through which the upper is shaped on a mould that reproduces the anatomy of the human foot. The Touring Range is therefore extremely versatile and high quality, with high tech products that can also be used casually and in the city. Full Grain Leather The uppers of the TCX Touring range are made using full grain leather. This is the most valuable part of the leather, which is specially treated and rendered waterproof. The result is an upper in a natural material that gives exceptional performance in terms of protection from atmospheric agents, breathability and fit. Gore-Tex Membrane The application of the Gore-tex membrane offers an optimal combination of breathability and insulation, granting the feet to stay warm and dry, never sweaty even in extreme conditions. The durable waterproof protection stops moisture from seeping in. As others have noted these boots are very stiff at first. The ankle cups were cutting into my feet for the first few days and I had to put some foam rubber in the boots because of the discomfort. After an 800 mile trip though they softened up and I could take the foam out. They are also a pain to get into for me. All that being said though they literally saved my feet and ankles last year when I hit a deer at 65 mph on my concours and went tumbling down the road. These boots were scuffed up but my feet and ankles were undamaged, and I give credit to these boots for saving my feet. The rest of me was pretty beat up and I spent some time in a hospital trauma ward but was able to walk out of the hospital thanks to these boots and the other protective gear I was wearing (ATGATT). These boots were the only gear that survived the crash and I still wear them on tours. They saved my left foot again when a car turned left in front of me and I went down hard to avoid impact. My left toe was jammed into the pavement and I would have suffered an overextension injury and injured toes except for the boots and how stiff they are and because of the thick sole and hard toe box. I can also attest to the waterproofness. I have ridden through several all day rain events and my feet have stayed bone dry.

These TCX X-5 Plus Gore Tex size 45 boots fit just a tiny bit larger than the 2 year old size 45 Alpinestars they replaced and are much stiffer all over. These are solid feeling boots. Protection seems decent. I have been wearing them all day every day for a week now and they are just starting to get slightly more flexible. Another week or two and I think they will be feeling just right. The toe box is taller than I am used to and that makes shifting cumbersome, but I am starting to get used to it. Traction is very good even in the wet, and they are waterproof so far. I ride every day in all weather and put over 15,000 miles on the bike each year, so these will get a workout. Hopefully these soles will last longer than the Alpinestars soles did, and the leather will hold up better too. These are made in Romania, not Italy, but workmanship seems top notch.
