I bought this helmet after deciding my arai xd3 had seen too much abuse. And I think I like it more than I liked my 450 dollar arai helmet.
Better ventilation. Can wear it with some goggles still. Better sun visor. More wind noise but hey, its also WAY better vented as I said. The flip down sun visor works well if a little jerky and man oh man is it nice to have when its really bright out.
The only complaint I really have is the chin strap. I had to tighten up the slack in it a lot to get it to fit tight enough on me. Which itself is a pain in the butt because its almost like the strap is wider than the plastic adjuster. Additionally there is no where to tuck or hang the excess so it just flaps around and whips your neck now and then. But you can just loop it up over to fix that - still there shoudl be a little clip or something to secure it. I might try adding a small button clasp to it. Another issue is the strap is a little too close to my neck. I am not a fatty either. I am 6'1'' and weigh around 175lbs. I am going to try adding a piece of fleece over the side facing my neck.
Other than that I do not understand the negative reviews here considering I came from a much more expensive helmet. I think this thing is great for someone who does a lot of dual sport in tight stuff with some highway stints too. If you got something like a wr250r, try this helmet out. I bet you will like it. And you will save a ton of money over something like an arai xd or similar.
One more thing: this integrates with a neck brace well. the bottom edge is curved on the sides instead of straight giving you a little more wiggle room side to side with your leatt brace... you have a neck brace of course, right? (insert accusing stare here)
conclusion: fuggin sweet.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great glove. Cool and very protective. I use it for on and off road dual sport sort of use. Hands don't get hot and I feel like I have a lot more protection than just some light dirt bike glove. The fingers could stand to be slightly longer for me, but if you aren't someone with long digits like myself it will probably fit fine. And the snugness from that seems to have sort of stretched out by now anyway.

I purchased an Alpinestars Koln Jacket before this past winter (great jacket for winter/fall/spring by the way) and also got these to go with it. I have to say that I can never really notice them in and occasionally check to make sure they have not fallen out or something. *bangs chest with fist*... 'yup'
I really feel like more jackets ought to incorporate armor in the chest. I really can't see myself getting another jacket without chest protection or the ability to add it (unless I get a separate chest protector). Once you have these in your Alpinestars jacket you will feel naked in jackets without it and wondering "how did I go without this?".
Another great feature here is that these transplant to all the other Alpinestars jackets without worry about fit.
If you have an Alpinestars jacket, you should get these.

I really love this helmet, don't get me wrong. It looks great in the frost black, fits well, tough as nails, just wish it flowed a bit more air and did not fog up quite as easily. I run around with the visor cracked open on it a lot.

I am constantly afraid of leaving my bike unattended in parking lots and the like. But this alarm and lock really puts my mind at ease. It is loud, and makes stealing the bike somewhat impossible. It is easy to put on and take off, although I fumbled with it at first, perhaps it was only me who had a difficult time getting it to behave and apply properly at first but none the less, I took off a point for ease of install simply because of that learning curve. I would recommend this product to anyone and intend on getting one for my girlfriend in the near future.
