What can I say? This is my third pair of Astars and I love 'em. They fit well right of the box, just like my other boots. And after walking around indoors for about an hour, they were comfy and quiet. I commute 60 miles a day for work and it's usually wet. A good ol' fasion NW rain can quickly get everything really wet but not my feet! I did apply the Astars Bees Wax liberaly before the first use and I think that's the key to getting boots to perform well for long periods. They don't look too bad either. At first I really didn't like the three velcro strap closure system. It's kinda Mad Max looking which I don't care for, but it's growing on me. Once on, they're a pretty snug but comfortable fit. Lots of room in the toe box, and supportive around the ankle. You don't get that "Ski Boot" feel when walking. More ilike a quality hiking boot feel.
I highly recommend these boots for commuting and touring. Oh yeah, you gotta buy them from Revzilla!

Well, I wanted to use two credit cards to pay for my order, but Revzillas software isn't setup to do that. So, the friendly chap who helped me place my order suggested that I buy a gift certificate. We then applied my newly acquired gift certificate AND a credit card to make my purchase. Now, THAT'S offering creative solutions! Revzilla Rocks!

This is my first DS boot I've owned and so far I'm pretty happy with it. It broke in very quickly and after a couple weeks, it feels alot like my old Astars boots, but still supportive. It keeps the rain out, feet warm, and me happy! I can't wait to get 'em out in the dirt!

Well, it was either the Firstgear heated gloves, or these. I went with Gerbings because of the lifetime warranty on the heating elements. They sure do warm up quick and can lightly toast the tops and sides of your hands in a hurry! However I've found that my finger tips and palms get cool at 65 mph in the 30s. They aren't perfect, but a great glove none the less. Overall, I'm happy with them. I bought the dual thermostat for a future vest, and mounted it on my left grip gaurd (vstrom). It sure would have been nice if the cord was long enough to reach the battery from there. So I did some electrical work and now it reaches. Seriously, if you pay $100 for a simple dual thermostat, the supplied cord that goes to the battey should be 8' right out of the box. You shouldn't have to lengthen the cord to mount it in a safe place on your bike. Again, overall I'm very satisfied. But there are some opportunties to improve these products.
