So I figured that these were the best that money could buy so i grabbed a set. The initial fit was a bit awkward with the inner boot it just seemed like there was too much going on. The inner boot has some stabilizing bars that really dug into my ankle on the 1st ride. That soon passed and the inner and outer boot really broke in nicely.
At this point they are basically invisible when on the bike. That is how you can tell they are great, you don't even think about them.
I feel like these are a big step up from the Tech 6 that I had prior. Or course like anything there is a downside.
For me the downside is the lack of a 4th buckle. The 3 buckles are just working a bit too hard to close the boot when you 1st throw them on. I almost instantly bent the piviot axles on at least 3 buckles. This is a huge bummer, since one they are bent they do not stay closed. I admit that I like my boots very tight but I do think that a 4th buckle would add to the overall fit.
I did call Stephan at revzilla when I bent the buckles and he did send me a new set at no charge, but I have already bent some of the new ones.
This is basically a near perfect boot. I would give it an 8 out of 10. Give it a 4th buckle & tougher ones at that and we are talking about a serious 10 out of 10.
Yes, I recommend this product.
