Arai Pro Shade System for SAI-Compatible Helmets Nowadays it is quite common to use a retractable sun-visor that is situated between the helmets outer- and inner shell to protect against sun glare. However, it is Arais opinion that this construction could affect the performance of a helmet during impact. As the Pro Shade System is completely mounted on the outside of the helmet, it will not in any way negatively affect the performance of the helmet. The Pro Shade System is a small peak that is locked in position. Unlocking is easy just pull the Pro Shade System forward, then it can be flipped down with a flick of the hand to act as an effective sun-visor. The Pro Shade System is the complete all-weather system for serious touring riders, offering protection against sun glare, fogging and misting, especially for riders that prefer an upright seating position and/or the comfort of a fairing, the Pro Shade System will enhance the riders comfort significantly. Features Fits all Arai SAI full-face helmets including the Arai Corsair V, Vector 2, RX-Q, Arai Signet-Q and Defiant Complete system, pre-mounted on clear Arai MAX Vision visor (included) Compatible with Arai SAI Max Vision Pinlock Inserts With Brow Vents (sold separately) Enhanced aerodynamics Increased helmet stability Removable for easy cleaning No contact with visor no scratching

I bought the Pro Shade System so that I wouldn't have to change face shields on an upcoming motorcycle journey. But there are two problems with the System -- 1) there is an annoying reflection in many sunlight conditions, 2) it makes too much noise when the sun visor is raised, unless you're riding behind a windshield. The System is also Way Overpriced. I took the System off and am going to change shields as necessary. They're pretty easy to change, anyway.

I got rid of all my other hydration backpacks that I had accumulated over the years once I got this one! The harness completely removes the weight from your shoulders, making carrying 3 liters of water on an all-day dirt ride Very Pleasant! I wish the side pocket were a little bigger, but I am going to add a US-10 pack so that I can pack extra gloves, more food, etc. I also have a Kriega R35 backpack, which has a similar harness, which a passenger wore on an extended tour of Washington, and she commented on how comfortable it was to wear, even when stuffed full with her clothes.

I have heretofore Resisted buying an open-face helmet, but finally bit the bullet with this one. I'm glad I did! The helmet comes forward around the chin area, giving fairly good protection for the lower face. I love the flip-up face shield! Plenty of room for glasses. And Arai helmets always fit my long oval head extremely well. Very comfortable and surprisingly quiet for an open-face helmet. Also quite light. Arai helmets are the Best!

One of the things I like about this jacket is that it comes in Silver, which is a good color to reflect heat. Having a waterproof liner AND a thermal liner makes the jacket quite versatile. Protection is not the best, both in terms of armor and external materials. I ordered one size larger, a Large, rather than a Medium. The Medium would have been too short in the arms.

This is a good-quality helmet at a fair price, but the helmet shape is too round for my intermediate oval head. (Arai helmets fit me; Shoei helmets don't.) I will have to make some modifications to this helmet to get it to fit me. I feel pressure both on the forehead and at the back of my head. Other HJC helmets have fit me well, so I was surprised by the fit on this model.

This helmet gathers many comments for its looks. I always wear Highly Visible helmets, and this one fits the bill, while being unique as well. It fits well, no pressure points on my oval (Arai) head, though the cheek pads are a bit thick. Good features and airflow for the price.

I have been looking for a Really Warm winter jacket for some time, and the Talos Jacket IS Really Warm. It's also Stylish and has wonderful features. I plan to use this jacket, and the matching Talos pants Exclusively for Cold Weather, in the 40's (F) or below, so I'm not concerned about ventilation for warmer weather.

I got these jeans because they seemed to offer more protection than the other motorcycling jeans -- Kevlar down the sides, knee and hip pads. They are a bit baggy, run a little large in the waist (34"). They are definitely long enough. I was surprised by how thin the fabric feels. The hip pads are also quite thin, compared to the knee pads. I think they are somewhat overpriced for what you get.

Nolan N104 Helmet - Solid Colors Nolan N104 Helmets represent an evolutionary step for Nolan as they replace the much touted N103 Helmet. When compared the older N103, the Nolan N104 Helmet offers a helmet which is much lighter (7oz), features a lower profile through the use of multiple shell sizes, better aerodynamics, as well as a much larger viewport for increased visibility. The (patented) chin guard rotation movement with elliptical trajectory makes it possible to keep the total size of the helmet's front section to a minimum when the chin guard is open. The sail effect is consequently highly reduced, and riding comfort is still guaranteed, even when the chin guard is lifted. The new ultrawide eyeport is the largest of any Nolan helmet, both vertically and laterally, for maximum field of view. The AIRBOOSTER ventilation system is equipped with an air intake in the chin bar, another intake in the brow, and two rear extractors at the rear. The inner comfort lining includes removable cheekpads, inner liner, neckroll and chin curtain and is easily removable and washable as well as antifungal and antibacterial. New, redesigned comfort liner also accommodates eyeglasses much more easily than before. All Nolan N104 helmets are also N-COM B4 ready ( N-COM B4 is designed expressly for the N104 and is sold separately). Shell Features Injected polycarbonate GE Lexan shell 7oz lighter than the Nolan N103 Two Shell engineering allows Nolan N104 to offer sizes from 2XS to 3XL (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Dimensionally correct sizing allows ample cubic volume in chin/nose area Faceshield Features Face shields are now sized to fit the two different shell sizes (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Ultra wide eye port opening is the largest on any Nolan helmet for superior visibility Shield is changed by a simple push button mechanism Pinlock shield included with each helmet VPS (Vision Protection System) is new slider bar to lower, push button release for instant retraction VPS lens is scratch and fog resistant Chin Bar Features Centromatic chin guard opening mechanism requires dual action, simultaneous action to prevent accidental opening Dual action opening mechanism is positioned in the centre of the chin guard and allows for easy, one-handed opening Ventilation N104 has new AIRBOOSTER ventilation system, ensures optimal ventilation where is is most required Air intake in the chin guard draws air in and onto the inside of the faceshield 3 position top vent (closed, crown vent, crown/brow vent) 2 venturi exhaust ports at rear of helmet New plastic vent tube channels in EPS disperse cool air throughout the helmet interior Inner Liner Features removable cheek pads, inner liner, neck roll and wind protector The inner padding of the new N104 is easily removable and washable and antibacterial The shape of the inner comfort padding facilitates eyeglass wearing Reflective insert at the centre of the roll neck further improves the rider's visibility at night Neck roll can be removed easily, for more comfort in the warmer months Other Features N-Com Communication System compatible (sold separately) Features new Microlock2 quick-release retention system Microlock2 consists of a plastic ergonomic opening lever, and of a second aluminium toothed and holding lever Microlock2 minimizes the possibility of unintentional opening while still making it ergonomic and easy to use Meets or exceeds D.O.T. standards

Nolan modular helmets have always fit me well (I have an "Arai" head, more oblong than round), but the N104 has a different fit, more of a round shape, so I get pressure in the forehead area. The fit around the ears is also tight, and the helmet strap has an adjustment buckle that causes pressure under the right side of my jaw. I am disappointed in the fit of this helmet!
