We just bought two sets of these for our bikes and knew it was not a "simple" install, but my husband is very capable with bike mechanics and maintenance.
After 3 afternoons trying to get one set on his bike installed and working, he ripped it all out and threw it in the garbage....
First of all, the directions are a couple pieces of paper with poorly written instructions. They jump from version A install to Version B and back again. The wiring diagrams are also confusing and do not clearly indicate WHICH diagram to use.
The package also doesn't come with connectors for the battery as other heated products do.
The wiring harness at the controller is of very poor quality. The 3 controller wires should be inside a protective sleeve, rather than loose, so as to prevent being compromised during installation.
The wires, at the entry point of the controller is a very poor design — This is where the wires enter the handlebar and as such, should be designed so as to prevent/avoid any cutting/breaking/pinching.
I can't believe we spend almost $300 on these getting them shipped up to Canada... what a mistake.

Just got these gloves and went for my first ride in them.
I am a girl and bought XS, which seems to be a good fit — fingers at the end but not pressing uncomfortably.
My initial comments are that they need breaking in! They're definitely protective and they fit nicely over my jacket, but at the moment they are uncomfortable and stiff.
There's also a seam at the end of the fingers that's kind of annoying, as it's not overly soft and digs into your fingertips...
I'm on the fence whether I would recommend them or not yet. Maybe I'll post another comment after a few months!

After using a very basic HJC helmet I was ready for something quieter and more protective.
This helmet fits nice and snug, with a soft fleece-like lining. It has decent air flow if you open all the vents, and stays warm with the vents closed.
I did a lot of research before I bought this helmet, and chose it for its quiet rating - however it's not drastically quieter than my last helmet. I still wear earplugs while riding...
Overall I recommend this helmet as a comparable to the Arai RXQ, but this is a bit cheaper...

I recently purchased this protector for adv/touring.
The protector is extremely rigid... more than I was expecting. I was looking for some extra protection, but I'm not so sure it'll be very comfortable for a long trip:(
The other thing is the straps are kind of confusing and not the easiest to use.
I'm sure for the track this protector would be sufficient, but not for road use.
Also, I am a 32C and bought Medium...which I think is a bit big FYI.

These boots are great! Better than expected actually... They fit true to size, I am size 8 and bought EURO 40.
They feel solid and well crafted. The boots have a very nice fleece-like liner, which came as a nice surprise as it didn't say that in the details. - The protective shin-guard is a big plus.
They feel comfy to walk and ride in, recommend them to anyone looking for an all-weather boot.

Just bought this jacket and I'm very happy with it. The style is flattering and it's very comfortable. The liner is excellent & super warm!
The protection is hands down the best I've seen. It comes with hard plastic inserts, which is much better than the rubber/foam style seen in most other motorcycle clothing. Having said this, the plastic armour doesn't sacrifice comfort and flexibility either which is nice.
The Air G1 back protector fits well in this jacket too, but for those of you on the verge of moving up a size I recommend doing so if you want to add the back and/or thorax protectors as it starts getting tight with those and a sweater underneath....
My only issue with this jacket is the lack of colour options. (always black, blue red or grey - lame!) I would love if Dainese would come out with a Women's High-Viz or Kawasaki green jacket!
One other thing - I also have the Dainese D-System D dry pants, they're great, but not the same black as the jacket FYI. They're a bit lighter black.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought these pants recently, they are very nice and fit well. Much more stylish than the 'snow pant' looking pants from other brands.
They have nice features such as the soft lining, vents and nice knee pads, however I was very shocked to find that, even though Dainese & Revzilla point out that these pants have "soft hip pads", they do not. Nor do they have a pocket to add the protectors. To top it off, they are the same price as the mens too!
I've heard that Dainese scales down their Women's gear vs. the mens and it's unacceptable to me. Especially when they market them as the 'same' in terms of features.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've had this tank bag for 6 months and it's been perfect for me. I ride a Kawasaki Ninja 400r (Same as the 650r, dif engine) I like this tank bag because it's not too big for my bike. It fits nicely on the tank without obstructing my view of the dash and doesn't interfere when moving the handlebars. It's also quite stylish and sleek as opposed to the larger tank bags by some other brands.
Some of you may be looking for more features such as a clear map pocket or a bigger bag to store more gear, and in that case it won't be ideal for you as it is fairly small. For me it's perfect, I take this everywhere and it holds: my small purse, sunglasses & prescription glasses/cases, some snacks, water bottle and an extra under armour shirt. There is a smaller inner zipped pockets as well for loose cash/change/house keys etc. It also has a second additional outer pocket for sunglasses, and a flap on the top if you want to strap anything else to it.
I have ridden through the rain with this and it seems quite water-proof as well.
I highly recommend:)

I bought these this year and they are super cozy inside!
They have a nice fleece liner and are quite thick. The thick leather I imagine would be quite abrasion-proof. Also the hard knuckle armour is a nice safety feature too.
I have found these gloves to be quite stiff, but they seem to be breaking in slowly. I think any leather glove is going to be similar... I have started wrapping a rubber brand around them when I'm not using them to hurry up the process;)
I rode with these last week here in Canada, and the temperature was about ( Hmmm, I have to convert this for you ) 45 Degrees Fahrenheit, so pretty chilly! I found after a while, the fingertips got cold, but I think unless you are going to get heated gloves or grips, there comes a point where gloves can only be so warm.
I like these gloves, but may consider heated grips as well for the chilly days. I would like a heated glove liner, but I'd be concerned they would be SUPER stiff! That would be fine if you're a passenger tho!
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've had these pants for 2 years, and they've been through snow, rain, and across the country! They are very warm and totally waterproof.
The inner liner is a nice thickness so when you zip it out it allows a decent amount of air-flow to comes in. This came in hand when we went from Canada to Arizona...big temp change!
The pants have a series of buttons at the bottom so you can tighten the pants around your boots, and they also have horizontal buttons to make the pants slightly shorter, which is nice because I found they a bit on the long side.
I am a size 26 waist and I bought a small which was a mistake, because they are a bit baggy...the XS would've fit much better. There are velcro tightening wraps at the waist which would be good if you're not sure if a Small or XSmall is best for you tho, or if you want to wear some thick pants or jeans under them.
I wear Lululemon pants under and I still find them a bit big.
Overall, these are excellent all-season pants, with nice protection in the knees, and soft protection around the hips. They've been very durable and I would definitely recommend them to any gal looking for textile pants that they can ride for miles in! These are not as abrasion-proof as a good leather pant, but depends what you want...if you want something more sporty/stylish, check out the Dainese lineup of leather 1 & 2Piece suits - very nice!! That's my next purchase:D
Cheers!

RX-Q VS. QWEST

Hi there,

How would you compare the RQ-Q to the Shoei Qwest? I am leaning towards the Qwest because I want the quietest helmet I can find! Also I am an XS size...and Arai doesn't make that shell specific size do they? My riding style is mostly sport-touring/ weekend trips on my ninja 400r.

Thanks!

Sizing & Battery Vs. Plug

Hi there,

Do you know the sizing specs for the xs & xxs? I do not see it on the MW website either. I am a ladies small or xs and I know this is a men's shirt, but I don't see anything similar for girls.

Second of all, how does the battery compare to plugs? It seems to be more convenient, but what would be the pro's & cons of each do you think?

Oh, and when are they available?!

Thanks!!

sizing for over pant?

When sizing as an over pant, would you order one size higher than your normal pants size? for example regularly wear a 18 in pants, order an 20 for over pants?
I would say try to match the size as close as possible. I bought pants that were a size larger with this same thought — that I may want to wear pants under etc, but in the end, I felt they looked baggy and I wish I had something more stylish;)

You can always buy heated pant liners too, which are fairly thin, so you don't need to wear bulky clothing underneath.

Does this helmet support bluetooth.

does this helmet have room for the speakers and mic built in like someother do or can you use a generic bluetooth system?
Yes it does, but you will find the noise a bit loud for the communicator. We have the scala rider Q2 installed in them.
